What is bizarre is how they focus on certain things each update.

When they added status, it was big. Then 2-3 updates ago status became a minor thing, you had to make extra clicks to see what people wrote, and very few people used it. Now suddenly status is the MAIN thing.

Remember pokes? Now its been pushed all the way down the homepage to a tiny thing. That was a big part of facebook 1.

Where are the birthdays listed? Now theres a bunch of crap on the right of my homepage, but I cant find upcoming birthdays.

Im sure next time birthdays will be front and center and the wall will be moved to page 2 or something.
Pokes are for losers with nothing to say. Sorry, Facebookers, but I don't care that you poke me, stop doing it and find something to say.

And birthdays/upcoming events are listed at the very top of the highlights section when the event gets close. Took the same thing and moved it further up, hiding it when there's nothing to show.

In the old days, everyone would get a barrage of "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" messages on their walls. Now, that the list of upcoming birthdays isn't one of the first things you see on your homepage...not so much.

But I like knowing when certain peoples birthdays are.

Apparently they now only appear 1-3 days before the event. Not good enough, I dont always check facebook daily.

Ironcially, I did just check facebook and theyve moved the friends request/events request etc from the top to the right again

You can get the entire list of your friends' birthdays under the Events section.

It's kind of weird how tech websites are picking up on these change like FACEBOOK CONCEDES TO USERS when they are really just fixing the things that are wrong with the new update. They're not going back to the old one, just doing some bug fixing type stuff. Very weird aping going on with the media here.

Me too, isn't that weird.

We make a big deal and then sort of get used to it, :lol
I'm not used to it at all. My news feed is filled with useless crap now. It's gone from social networking to Twitter + apps and quizzes.

I just noticed that specific applications can now be hidden from the news feed. Seems like that stupid "Pick Your 5" (pretty much the only application any of my friends have used in months — people just love making lists, I guess) phenomenon is dying down somewhat, but this will at least come in handy in the future.

Ok so they made it easier to make new Friends Lists which is cool I guess. I don't see anyone making new lists often enough that it needs to be right there, but at least people know it's there.

I wish you could make a live feed of a specific app though I don't like having to dig through the apps menu to get to the app to look at it.

Oh and they moved events to under the Highlights section? Wtf is that shit? I have to scroll to the bottom of the page to see my upcoming events and bdays? that's dumb.

Awesome. Just logged in and they made it so you can block specific apps from your feed without having to block a specific friend that spams that app to hell.

Instead of the X in the corner of each update it's a hide button which drops down to the option to hide the app or your friend. That's one of the biggest things for me.

Can't they just give us a "Hide/Block all applications" option? I really don't care about any of that shit.

Yeah it's retarded I have to scroll all the way down to see who's bday it is or what I'm supposed to be doing that night.
