Guys should not look that pretty!!! People complain about FFXII character designs but for me it's nothing compared to Magna Carta here which confuses me to a whole higher level!! The official artwork doesn't make it any better either!!

This final fantasy actually strikes me as interesting. Even though Vaan is a fruit, I love the gritty look of the game. This game visually looks to go more for the hardcore gamer instead of pandering to the mainstream with bright, colorful, cheery graphics. For some reason it kind of gives me FF6 vibes. The guy in the red reminds me of a skinny Banon.

That thought that too....untill I saw 2 collages of what were the male and female characters, and this character was with the males. If they are girls than the artists tends draws massive hooters on them too.

Jesus. This company deserves to have the ESRB put a "Transexual Mischeif" warning on all their games or something. I'm going to guess female too, because this character has no buldge, the calves softly arc, and it has child-bearing hips. But seriously, those are the only clues to be had -- it's clear that they left it open for interpretation. SEXY interpretation.

Who cares that Vaan looks like a 17 year old pretty-boy and not some mid-thirties Tom Selleck with too much hair on his chest. But then again, that is what most of you guys (and/or girls) seem to prefer apparently. Get over those boundaries, accept new possibilities in character-design. I don't mind playing a man who looks very effeminate, as long as the game and the characters fit with each other. Not every character has to look like Snake or Sam Fisher, or Duke Nukem for that matter, just to be cool and strong.

Yes. Theres things about those two male Magna Carta that physically a male shouldn't have unless they where injected with a large amount of estrogen. Its not just about the look but about the body structure...i've still yet to see a guy with hips like that.

Normally I would agree and embrace open-mindedness, etc. But there is a limit -- putting child-bearing hips and boobs on a man is fucked up. It just is. Sorry.
