EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 2 continues to deliver innovative gameplay via the analog Total Punch Control mechanic, allowing gamers to throw multiple punches, block, bob and weave with complete precision and control. Packing in more fearsome punches, players can now dominate the ring with the all-new EA SPORTS Haymaker allowing gamers to knock down their opponents with one devastating blow by adding extra power to each punch. Every hit counts in the game with powerful punches inflicting dynamic injuries on opponents, and thus reducing a fighter's ability to defend himself. Players will also manage the boxers inside and out of the ring. Utilizing the new EA SPORTS Cutman, gamers can minimize damage on their fighters by helping them heal critical wounds between rounds.

I will beat each and every one of you down until you lose control of your bladder. I'm that good.

Get ready to catch a beat down by a 5'9 Blackistani boxer from Las Vegas.

I don't think anyone can see me using that Total Control bullsh!t. Face buttons all day.

Thank god EA Chicago is fixing this for online play so we don't have to play against Face Button Smashers.

I'm a 'smasher' now? Why I gotta be a 'smasher'?

Is there some sort of advantage to using the face buttons? The gameplay punishes button 'mashers' in regards to stamina.

I don't see your beef w/ us face button folks.

Elaborate.

Because in FN04 if you used face buttons you could pull off combos much faster and easier then with Total Punch Control.

It's way too easy to set up combos using the face buttons - at least it was in last year's rev. A large part of the reason why I only faced GAFers online and didn't bother with anyone else. No way to filter out the face button folks from us Total Control Masters®. :)

That's why the fuck you should use it!!

I don't understand you people.

While I haven't played the game, presumably their point is it's more fun/rewarding/whatever to do it their way, even if the other is easier.

Thats pretty much it, yeah, total punch control is the difference between it being another mediocre boxing game into the most visceral, accurate sim of boxing out there.

This would be good:

1. Minus total punch control analog horseshit
2. With Xbox graphics that didn't look like a PS2 port

I'll be first in line for this classic in the making!

You button mashers need to get mashed the fuck up and out of the Ring!

Boy to your king, I'm a threat in the real boxing ring and in this game you will face
Michael Corleone! 5'8 218 pounds of steel, soul, and sexiness!!!

I will bury all opposition, you and your false champions have yet to faith my wrath.
I'm storming out the gate like Mike Tyson circa 88!

it would be even better if you can pre-define set combos onto a single shoulder button.

doh!

That shit is Bunz!!
Button mashers be gone, Take a walk into a meat grinder!!

Go play knockout kings.

Total punch control makes the game feel like a sim and is reveloutionary....
It single handidly resurected my favorite sport in the realm of videogames at least...
