One question who is developing it? Namco Hometek or Namco Japan? Are they both using the unreal 3.0 engine?

Ok let me put this in perspective for those who have not seen the video. This is a GTA type game. HUGE environments, populated both outside and inside the buildings.

So....current generation vs Frame City.

I understand it's not the most visually impressive games, but I'm tired of people comparing it to games like Gears Of War or the Killzone demo. Keep it in perspective.

The way they release these crappy shots to the public like they think they should impress someone indicates that the devs have low standards for this game visually so I'm not expecting much graphically when the game comes out in the end. In gameplay vids it looks painfully slow as well and the shooting sequence was hilarious - the bad guys just stood in the same spot pointing their guns at him (but not firing) while he S-L-O-W-L-Y picked them off one by one as they all died using the exact same lame animation.

I just can't see these devs pulling a rabbit out of their hat and turning this into a good game.

If you really wanted to put things in perspective, you'd have done a comparison to Saint's Row - see how comparable two next gen GTA-type games are when compared side by side. From what I've seen of Saint's Row, it's looking markedly better than FCK.

FCK in its current state doesnt even resemble a game. seriously, all you people saying that the videos have to be seen to appreciate the graphics... the game (prototype?) looks incredibly early. hell, it looks like an amaturish attempt at a real game at this point. it looks worse then probably all of those games that are exclusive features at "joe blow's" random video game site (with the exception of xavier fox).

now, hopefully based on how entirely shit all the gameplay footage really was, there is hope that the game was just shown a few years before it was in any sort of decent shape to show. maybe we'll see something on FCK in a few years that has strived to reach C-status... maybe.
