I wouldnt be supprised if this trailer was an EA esque "Mock-up Representation", something about it doesnt look right.

Big difference

I dont understand the huge disparity between xbox 360 games. Some look almost photorealistic (nba2k, ghost recon) and other look like complete garbage.
That's been the case for every launch of a system at this point in development.

Microsoft should really shift its marketing focus from PD0 to this game. This game looks amazing. PD0 looks like a 80% done Gamecube game.

Somehow I get the feeling the impressiveness of this game's graphics is largely due to stuff like lighting/shadowing and animation--something you can't get from screenshots. So WHERE ARE THE FUCKING VIDEOS?

Loos at the MTV trailers thread.
the explosion scene is very impressive.

looks great... but it's not an exclusive is it?
Exclusive to what? It will be exclusive next gen since their won't be another next gen console out this year besides the 360.

I'm sorry but I have NO idea where the fuck it is. That MTV site is atrocious and I can't find anything of value there. I don't give A FUCK about Elijah Wood.

Ok, I haven't had internet at home for the better part of 2 weeks now due to an incompetent DSL provider I'm locked in contract with. Which means, I have exactly 1 hour, 15 minutes more of browsing this forum before I leave work.

CONFIRM that this is pre-rendered before I leave for the weekend. Please. Put my mind to rest!

According to Bish it is infact prerendered.

For that 2 people that care: GR3 comes to PC. After cancelling GR2 for the PC Ubi concentrated on making GR3 "the best GR available on the PC platform".

It'll be real fun to compare it running on a 9800 and 360. I'm curious about the differences (if any).

For the love of god Ubi Soft, turn down the damned bloom lighting a couple of notches.

actually, i say it looks great in a game like this. looks like broadcast war footage

FYI, all taken from a non-playable "demonstration" of what the game will look like.

I think the images and videos we saw was most probably rendered in engine (as opposed to CGI)

This means the engine doesn't have to calculate AI routines and only what the game engine can output - I dunno what this means for the final product though - there are no enemies on screen and no AI scripting happening- this is the same with the NBA game. They have only 1 person on that court and its close to photoreal. Can the box handle 12 players + crowd?

So, what can we really expect at E3? More smoke and Mirrors?

After seeing those screens, which are nice IMO (unless they are in fact pre-rendered then...die MS die), I really cant wait to see what PS3 can do.

And the PS3 better look good because Xbox 360 is very nice looking.

Ghost Recon 3 did not SEEM pre-rendered. it didn't look like CGI.

although I admit the possibility that the impressive explosion might have been pre-rendered

(I am not saying it was prerendered, just admitting the possibility)

Doubtful. Everything about that game in motion appeared to be 100% game.

Well, like I said, it's -not- gameplay. The dev guy I talked to said it uses assets from the game and it should look just like it. (shrug)

what he, Mark's saying is what I inferred, that the demo doesn't calculate AI, physics..etc. Its all scheduled to go down (scripted) same reason why Leon in cutscenes in RE4 can have an extra 5000 polygons because the processor does not have as much to deal with.
