That's been the case for every launch of a system at this point in development.TheDuce22 said:I dont understand the huge disparity between xbox 360 games. Some look almost photorealistic (nba2k, ghost recon) and other look like complete garbage.

C- Warrior said:^Dude, not just Gamecube.
Practically every 2005 PS2 release thus far looks better than Perfect Dark Zero.
demon said:Somehow I get the feeling the impressiveness of this game's graphics is largely due to stuff like lighting/shadowing and animation--something you can't get from screenshots. So WHERE ARE THE FUCKING VIDEOS?
Exclusive to what? It will be exclusive next gen since their won't be another next gen console out this year besides the 360.DCharlie said:looks great... but it's not an exclusive is it?
I'm sorry but I have NO idea where the fuck it is. That MTV site is atrocious and I can't find anything of value there. I don't give A FUCK about Elijah Wood.FiRez said:Loos at the MTV trailers thread.

CONFIRM that this is pre-rendered before I leave for the weekend. Please. Put my mind to rest!

FYI, all taken from a non-playable "demonstration" of what the game will look like.

Doubtful. Everything about that game in motion appeared to be 100% game.midnightguy said:Ghost Recon 3 did not SEEM pre-rendered. it didn't look like CGI.
although I admit the possibility that the impressive explosion might have been pre-rendered
(I am not saying it was prerendered, just admitting the possibility)

MarkMacD said:Well, like I said, it's -not- gameplay. The dev guy I talked to said it uses assets from the game and it should look just like it. (shrug)
Odnetnin said:I think the images and videos we saw was most probably rendered in engine (as opposed to CGI)
This means the engine doesn't have to calculate AI routines and only what the game engine can output - I dunno what this means for the final product though - there are no enemies on screen and no AI scripting happening- this is the same with the NBA game. They have only 1 person on that court and its close to photoreal. Can the box handle 12 players + crowd?
So, what can we really expect at E3? More smoke and Mirrors?
