Wait until X happensHis time will come, wait until the real voting begins.
Just a worthwhile note: These polls were conducted BEFORE his latest Muslim Ban rant.
But.... he won't win. The GOP knows this, they'll go through hell and high water to avoid nominating him. That's what makes this so hilarious, the Republican establishment is being torn to shreds by the monster they created.

It wouldn't be worse than Goldwater, but he would lose without any effort. Trump has zero chance of winning the general.
I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Romney couldn't win with only the White vote and he was a lot more sane than Trump.
Too many Americans are treating this like a game, you all need to start taking responsibility for what is happening in US politics.
I don't want to see another person post
"Oh but he won't win the presidential election"
This kind of attitude is just making things worse and worse, and of us poor fucking people from the rest of the world have to watch as you all let it happen.
Things have changed since 2012. People everywhere in the western world are more radicalized.
I know that if he doesn't turn things around with minorities he won't stand a chance but you never know.
So, him shitting on minorities gets him 10s of million white supporters?
Even if he doesnt win, its sad
They include yesterday, when the comments were made.
What do you mean you never know? You cannot win the WH with just the white vote anymore, that is a simple fact.
Anyone doubting anymore that Trump will win the primaries? I mean he basically went full hatred yesterday and people seem to back him up, perhaps is the fear and the recent attacks but I doubt this fear will go away completely and Trump seems to be far more intelligent in managing his own campaign than what most people are willing to admit.

Don't shoot the messenger. This OP has created 3 Trump threads today already.
Doesn't really matter if they're more radicalised, the white vote is a shrinking demographic, even compared to 2012. Every election it gets that much harder for a candidate solely relying on the white vote.
And if they're support base becomes more radicalised, its even more of a push factor for every other group to vote for someone else.
Double bonus huffpo pollsters:
Wait until X happens
Did someone ever tell you the definition of insanity?
When will people start paying attention? Nate Silver said that after thanksgiving people will start paying attention and Trump will flop.
Umm is that huffpo an aggregate!?!
Damn.That ever rising "ceiling."Yes.

in the general, Trump would do worse than Goldwater.
I don't think he has a shot in the general barring something we can't know now like a big scandal for Hillary or major terror attacks.
But the electoral map has changed. This isn't Goldwater 1964. The Solid South had its last gasp electing lbj that year. We didn't have the sort of organized anti-government faction in the country like we do now.
Trump could carry many of the states that Romney did. I don't think he will be the nominee and if he were I think he would lose. But this is scary shit.
Given that not a single vote has yet to be cast in the primaries, yes, I still doubt him.
How is he doing among minorities compared to other Republicans (current candidates and past elections?) I heard somewhere that he's polling relatively well among blacks but was wondering if there was any data.
His entire campaign was "Wow outrageous statement #47 will definitely kill his campaign!" and so far the guy has been gaining momentum. Also the fact that he hasn't spend that much money on adds (since the media will give him full coverage thanks to outrageous comment #55)
I would say that he is escalating with his outrageous comments but this is a man that openly advocates for the creation of the great wall of America and says that all mexicans are rapist and drug dealers or mules so I don't know how far he can push being outrageous because since the start he was already off the charts. Unless people are completely trolling in this poll (and all the previous ones) and supporting Trump just to watch the world burn I don't see how such a clear lead wouldn't mean a win in the primaries.
No, no it is not scary. Do you not remember how badly Romney got his ass handed to him?
206 to 332.
Your assumption is that these polls reflect votes that will actually be cast in the primaries. Why? And why would lying in an attempt to troll be the only explanation for why not?
Most recent Latino vote I saw was an MSNBC poll that had him trailing Clinton by 42 points, and as for the Black vote I think he pulls in 25% in a poll I saw a couple months ago. Endorsing the roughing up of the BLM protestors might have an impact on that of course, if there's a more recent poll it may be different.
These are all single polls of course, not sure if anyone is aggregating them like others.
In terms of other current candidates, he's way less competitive with Latinos than Bush or Rubio, but even they don't quite edge out Clinton.
Donald Trump losing with that map would still be something difficult to see. It would say something pretty deeply negative about the nation.
