wow, nice. love that little effect in the verse. much faster sounding than usual.

doesnt mean this will be on the next album though.

cant wait. meteora wasnt as good as hybrid theory (one of the best mainstream rock cds since 2000 imo) but i have big hopes for this one
 
so soon? its been like 3-4 years now, and this was played in Tokyo concert recently. the only new song they played, and yes its most likely on the next album
 
So did they settle their differences with Warner Bros. or did they manage to get out of their contract and get a new distributor?

linkin park fans are pretty rabid, especially with the net as the band really grew a big fanbase just on the net before hybrid theory. i had a feeling this would leak soon.

By so soon, I meant before a CDate (or name) was anounced. While theyve said they were aiming for an October release, its looking like November now. So I expected to hear a new song in September.

Of course, this might be a hint that theyll hit October as planned.

GAF hates anything popular. I really liked LP's first cd though. I heard stuff here and there on the radio afterwards but none of it really grabbed me. This doesn't either. I was hoping they'd go back to the first cd (paper cut?) style.
 
I don't hate LP, so much as they just changed musically for the worse IMO. Their first album had some good songs, and was moderately good but nothing spectacular, and then Meteora was just a trainwreck IMO. Plus, all that screaming gets on my nerves after about two seconds.

Sorry I'm late guys, I was at lunch right when this thread was started, an hour plus later, I'm back and...ready to not be able to hear it because these computers aren't suited for...anything.
 
I turned it off when the guy started screaming "AAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH" at the beginning of the song.
 
I really dig LP and I also don't get why they seem to receive so much hate. Hybrid Theory and Meteora are terrific albums IMO, though I think they should move away from screaming, that shit is so played out.

The song sounded ok considering it was recorded at a live concert and is in pretty bad quality. I'll reserve judgement until I hear a studio version.

well its a bit different. But steadily declines when they open their mouths.
 
Like most Linkin Park songs, this isn't great.

It isn't unlistenable, or bad either. That's enough to get radio play these days however, because most music is f'ing terrible.

This gets a 6/10.
 
They toured with Korn on the Family Values tour i'm almost positive. No, I don't like either of the bands or nu-metal altogether.

they did tour with Korn, Snoop, The Used, and Less Than Jake on the Projekt Revolution tour though (it rocked)

dont think they did family values

The days of listening to Hybrid Theory and playing Phantasy Star Online ALL day on Dreamcast.... Those were the days.

Anyway. Linkin Park has always been ok to me. I liked their Rock/Hip Hop blends. A few of the Jay-Z collabs were pretty cool. Kinda forgot about them until this thread popped up

honest to god, i used to play PSO while listening to the albums Everyday by DMB and... Hot Shot by Shaggy
