New Red Hot Chili Peppers single leaked early

I like all of the instrumentation in the verses, especially the guitar, and the drums are suitably crisp. Triplet cowbell gets +1 from me, no exceptions. The little guitar solo would have been dope if they rode it out. The chorus is dull and the lyrics are awful, but I understand awful lyrics is kind of their thing now? I'm not really a Chili Peppers guy. 5/10

Pretty underwhelming. The guitars are a big step down from anything Frusciante ever did and there's not a single catchy vocal melody to be heard.

Very 'meh'. Agree that it sounds like a Stadium Arcadium mashup. Will wait to hear other tracks, but so far, not all that interested.

There are people that don't like Stadium Arcadium?

Joke post.

Single sounds pretty meh. These guys haven't been great in almost two decades, though, so it's not like I'm expecting much.

I guess I just grew up on old, fan-fucking-tastic Chili Peppers that whenever I hear anything new from By the Way on, I shudder. Give me Mother's Milk / BSSM any day of the week over never hearing them again.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but every time I watch their Dani California music video I can't help but laugh at this part.

Just imagining the Beatles playing like that puts a smile on my face. :)

I don't get a lot of the hate for Stadium Arcadium. I'll admit there's a lot of filler stuff on there, but there's at least 10 absolutely great songs on there. Most of it for me is John Frusciante's guitar work the guy is amazing at creating textures. For anyone missing him, check out The Empyrean, his absolutely amazing solo album that beats anything RHCP ever put out.

As for the single, it's a bit boring, don't really like it at all. I appreciate what Klinghoffer is trying to do with the weird guitar textures but I'm not sure it fits. I really don't like the chorus either, just sounds too generic. I really hate the breakdown kinda thing at the end, that just sounds corny and unnecessary. So a lot of hope lost for this new album, but hopefully this is just a bad cut from it.

Thinks he should have been the one to kill Batman's parents.
Frusciante is the straw that stirs the drink. RHCP instantly became much better when he first joined, much worse when he first left, much better when he returned, and now they're back to bleh. :/

I'll just stick to Frusciante solo/other artist collabs. The guy is a fucking maestro and RHCP just have nothing to offer anymore. Over-produced and medicore. Can't believe Klinghoffer though, he was so good on Sphere in the Heart of Silence! As well as Ataxia.
