Couldn't see these elsewhere, but I apologise if they've been posted already.

This is how you play GC stuff)

I wonder what the flap hides.

Give me silver/white please.

That ferrari red Rev looks smokin. Best console design ever IMO*.

sorry but the Nintendo revolution looks way slicker than the Xbox360 and the PS3.
PS3's design dissapoints me seriously, I thought Sony had good style.

GCN controller ports pretty much confirms that the Revolution's controller is going to be quite different. Different enough that you wouldn't be able to use it for Cube games.

Looks like it belongs on a server rack. It needs a little softening, but I'd still run screaming to the store if I had a chance to buy one.

I was thinking that front flap was actually a tray that would come out for GC games.
I think they said in the conference that they both load via the slot. That raises a question actually... do the slot drives in Mac Mini and other devices support small size CDs/DVDs?

Yup, it looks like an external cd drive. Maybe im crazy but it seems like that plastic flap would prevent you from connecting the wireless wavebird adapter to it.

HOT HOT HOT

definately my fav looking now.

loving the on the side for GC thing as well.... Wonder if the revs saving scheme will work for GC and the mem card slots are just for people wanting to use their existing saves or not, anyone know how that will most likely work?

I'll check later, but I think the wavebird reciever connector was nearer the bottom of the receiver so it shouldn't be a problem. I'm pretty sure they are on a wireless drive as well, so they will have almost definately accounted for that.

Anyone else notice the controller ports are backwards? The flat part is the top of the port, so you'd be going 4, 3, 2, 1

Cool! Any pics of the back side?
Nope.

I think Wavebird plugs would fit (this photo shows the sockets upside down and the wavebird plug sticks out upwards), but they may support Wavebird internally, or maybe even the new controller will play GC stuff anyway - they may just be including this for people who want to keep using wired controllers.

Yes, but that makes sense since port 1 is near the front of the console.

Its a mean looking sumbitch (in a new sexy kinda way) when layin horizontal. Stark contrast to the Gamecubes "smilie faces". I like

This will support the WaveBird. Notice that the ports are upside down.

EDIT: Damn, this board moves fast.

Now if only Nintendo would make a GameBoy Player for it...

Yeah there is not enough clearance on the bottom for the wavebird plugs unless the scale of that pic is messing with me. It must be done internally.

puke green is the new hotness.

it's spewin sexy.

I'm getting red.

?
There are little dots represent the port numbers.. and they go from front to back. I'm not sure about the ports being upside down either. Check out the second view and note where the slot is. Then re-orient the first view.

Wow that is quite sleek and cool looking. This is the best looking console Nintendo has ever made it would be a shame if it ended up being less powerful under the hood cause the casing is gorgeous.

Logo is shit. That is certainly an interesting place for controller ports. I could see wired revolution controllers making use of the ports as well.

I see no reason why the Wave Bird wouldn't fit I just checked my connector with the image and it will fit perfectly comming off the right side.

Thank god they put the controller ports in the correct way, otherwise the Wavebird would be fuXX0red. Not that it really matters, I suppose, since they said it wasn't the final design...

EDIT: I see I was beaten to the punch.

Damn I want a purple one, seriously.

I wonder if Nintendo is going to sell the white stand seperatly, like Sony does.

yeah, do the dvd consortium or whatever still extract a fee from people? That's why the XBOX didn't have it standard I thought? Was the stand confirmed as being the DVD add on or was that just speculation? Me no remember.

Revolution controllers are already wireless, those are for gamecube.

Great industrial design. I think all the next generation systems look better than their predecessors but this is my favorite. I'd like to see the back, though (and the damn specs, games, and support).

So you might be able to use GC controllers on Rev games? Cool. I wonder wh ybother with the ports though, why not just put Wavebird recievers in the system and make people use the Wavebird since its a better controller anyway?

Very nice indeed... I supose they plan on releasing the 4 different gamepad designs of NES, SNES, N64 and GCN wireless? That could be cool...

The flap hides the Game Boy cartridge slide?

EDIT: I don't like the angle when it stands vertically...

Well, at least with the memory card slots intact, we can always use that third party GBA Player thing if Nintendo doesn't make one for Revolution.
