I can't see an announcement being dumb. Obviously it's doing double duty by getting people to watch the Olympics and getting those already watching the Olympics anyway interested in the movie.
It's Star Wars, I doubt it would just be dropped out of nowhere.
Huge win for the network, they are getting paid and people are draw in without much effort on their part.

I guess if you want to look at it like that, then.
I enjoy knowing exactly when and where a new trailer will air, I don't mind them hyping it up.
It generates hype and prepares people to keep their eyes out at the advertised time, I get that. But yes, I find it dumb that we all just consume these things and follow along these trends. Yeah it's in itself nothing to get worked up about, but it adds up to other things, ya know.

What do you want them to show you? Don't mean it in a offending way. What they showed in the celebration reel was really solid imo.
Personally speaking, I need Felicity Jones to finally start showing us at least an ounce of charisma in her role before I can officially start getting excited for this. She was maddeningly wooden in the (admittedly brief) teaser trailer.

Was sceptical leading up to TFA that it wouldn't disappoint so went in with low expectation, ended up loving it. Will do the same for this one, perhaps more so with the heavy re-shoots and director of Godzilla at the helm.
I am pretty optimistic about episode 8 though, so hopefully I don't get burned there.

And there it is, I finally saw it the infamous Celebration trailer albeit off colour and Quality, but theres something cool about bootleg low Quality stuff sometimes, as long as theres a chance to see better quality later, (reminds me of the late 80'searly 90's bad quality vhs tv copies, radio crackling quality audio album recordings, even real player low samples when i was first online haha.)
I am thinking it will just be this, perfect length for T.V and already precut for audiences, maybe theyve spent the last 2 -3 weeks since celebration tidying it up, maybe extra footage but unlikely.

The Celebration teaser was really short. It's probably something new that includes some stuff from the SWCE teaser.

Yeah, that's been announced. Weird thing is, we don't have a production OT for Rogue One like we do for Episode 8, so a lot of information gets lost.
I loved that Celebration teaser, don't really want it to fade away into exclusivity obscurity. Plus keeping this fully exclusive is not Disney's style, apart from the Civil War footage at D23, all their con exclusives have ended up released as official trailers in some form or other.
So here, I'm thinking it's an extended version of that teaser if it makes sense?

Nah it won't be the Celebration trailer. That one was just a combination of the earlier teasers and trailers with a 2 second shot of Vader's reflection in a floor. It was obviously a tease meant specifically for that live audience.
The next full actual trailer will probably do that same character reveal, but a bit more elaborate. No way they'd release the same trailer for such a big audience. Too much repeated material/that reveal was too 'small'.

The celebration one was just a minute long and included alot of scenes from the last trailer. Im thinking this is a new one.
