no the hat's there. Its just barely visible to the left of his face if you look at the high contrast pic above.

And I tried zooming in on the torch symbols but they are too small and grainy to see any detail.

Looks like non-anamorphic 16:9 though (like Resi 4 GC). So if you play it on a widescreen TV and zoom in (to get rid of the borders) you'll see texture blurring and stretching since it's running at a lower resolution. iirc it'll mean it's 640x360 of viewable image instead of 720x480
