Next EA Bond Game = "From Russia With Love"

Hopefully it's another third person Bond game, like Everything or Nothing. They really need to give the FPS Bond games a rest.
 
I have James Bond: Everything or Nothing on X-Box... I love it so far... I have honestly played maybe 2-3 levels... I just have no time...

But the first level where you escape from the buring building is sweet. The car chase level to the train is great and has great control and feel... the helicopter level was very cool...

Hopefully, it will be 3rd. person... I hate 1st. person view games... but I am willing to try Oddworld Stranger because you can switch to 3rd. person. So if I start feeling sick, I switch views.
 
It's amazing how long a game franchise can go with only having one really good game. And right now it doesn't look like anything will change that. The Bond series has been worn to peices.

Everything or Nothing was a suprisingly good game, actually, and I assume you're counting Goldeneye (since everyone seems to love it). So, that's two right there...
 
People really liked the third-person Bond? I thought the camera and controls were awful.

Nightfire is the best Bond since GE.

Have you actually played the 007 games this generation?

AUF was not that bad; it's multiplayer was quite fun, NF had a solid single-player campaign, and EoN was a fantastic game. I'll agree that Rogue Agent was very mediocre, but the previous 007 games are not.

EoN got annoying later on.. the camera started taking a life of its own and the enemies gained this ew ability to shoot you no matter where or how far away you were. Around walls... no problem.. through walls... no problem...
 
I actually just watched "From Russia With Love" last week.

The funny thing about them adapting this one into a game is that FRWL has barely any action for a James Bond film. (It's an early one) There's an awesome close-quarters fight in a train compartment, a helicopter shootout, and a short boat chase. And that's pretty much it.

EA will have to really fudge the storyline to make this one work as a game.

That's a hell of a flop. Yes I know the title had major issues... doesn't seem to have hurt it though. There are some 1st and other 3rd parties that would kill for those #'s. The EA brand is strong in this one....

If they took the way they have taken with the Godfather then it would be perfect. I have to admit EA surprised me with that one.

EA's brand power rivals Nintendo's now, making even there crap games sell good. If a Nintendo high franchise game ONLY sold 360 thousand, it would be a flop.
 
I really hope From Russia With Love uses the Everything or Nothing engine or something similar to it. What an awesome Bond game.

Co-op rocks too! That last level on the first mission is hard as $#@%, but still....just the level of teamwork my cousin and I employ to get through stuff, seriously, it's awesome. We can get through that whole level without getting shot....but the moment M. Sappho comes, it's all over, one of us dies. The best we ever did was get him down to the point that 5 five more seconds of shooting him would have killed him - a sliver of energy.

Now put Nintendo characters in it EA! ;)
