Once when PS5 specs and info are unveiled, one of you all can't pass up the opportunity to make a gif out of this scene where Chris Evan's Face has PS5 logo and all other family members are the poopheads who kept playing the PS5 is weaker console card!

Rdna ipc is almost on par with turning ipc with turing has slightly the edge! Only power Efficiency turing or nvidia in General has a huge advantage!

I saw the figure quoted in a Moore's Law Is Dead video, and I take them as a pretty good source (among others) for tech talk it it seemed a good fit given Nvidia's generally been a bit ahead of AMD on GPU efficiency for a while now.
But if my quote is wrong, I've no problem with that. Just makes RDNA (and RDNA2 in particular) even better!

You usually measure devices at a standard distance or at a distance relative to the normal use distance. My PRO measured at 48dB, 10" away after sitting on a 4k, uncapped frame rate menu screen for ~10 minutes. I can't see how a controller can be perceivably 3x louder.
Lots of sales compared to a $499 console, absolutely. But lockhart is aimed at someone who jumps into next gen a couple years in. That person just got their ps4/xbone in the past 2 years and not looking to get into next gen just yet. They want a library of new games to see value.
We know they "scrapped" ariel for oberon so why couldn't they have done the same for oberon and whatever else that might come next?
