which tflops figure do you want them to go with? the one from osiris? or heisenberg? or odium? even jason and klee havent given any figures. that 9.2 tflops figure is the only one we have right now. as long as they put proper disclaimers, thats fine with me.

your beef should be with Sony brass who are ok with this fake information being spread around without any kind of denials. it should be with PS5 devs who refuse to call up DF and deny this figure even if they have to do it off the record anonymously. if not DF, call up Jason Schrier.

Bigger question is will anyone release a mid-gen refresh? Did those systems sell well enough to justify their existence? Would it be more profitable down the line to launch your skus at the start and enjoy the full benefits of the cycle cost reductions over time?

No, I don't know, you don't know, nobody knows besides AMD, Sony and people under NDA and that's the point. If I make an assumption that Oberon is just BC testing, that's as valid as what you say, because we don't know.

Bo_Hazem is there a perfect UHD TV out there that has ALL of the following features:

Brightness of Micro-LED tvs (luminance in terms of nits. More the nits, the brighter the TV)
Darkness/BLack levels of OLED tvs (Umbrance measured in contrast ratio)
Color quality of QLED tvs (chroma measured in the color spectrum)

No, nothing perfect there.

Best picture quality/blacks: OLED's, but unreliable and need care and no to long sessions. Weaker HDR performance due to not meeting 1000-nits minimal requirement (Except Panasonic but it's shit for gaming).
Best brightness/HDR: Not sure, but the new TCL 8 and 6 series 2020 are brilliant and probably the best out there overall with decent blacks.
Color accuracy goes to Sony TV's.

My short list is:

-If you want OLED, then CX or C9.
-TCL 8-Series 8K and 6-Series 4K 2020 models.
-Sony XH90 (X900H) only for the moment that has rumors to support HDMI 2.1 properly for gaming.
-Samsung 8K lineup, but I'm not comfortable with their TV's as they are not produced directly in Korea here.
-Vizio 2020 lineup if you are in the US.

That's my short list, to me I'll pick probably TCL 8-Series 8K if the price is good, but I think I'll go for XH90 if I can turn off local dimming because it's shit for gaming no matter how they try to make it nice, I would sacrifice black levels for that.

This is my short list, all should have full HDMI 2.1 support especially VRR. I think TCL is the best overall, but I need Sony's color accuracy for video/photo editing at least.
