We'll see when we have actual games, but looks to me like despite having lower overall TF numbers, this thing is going to be focused on performance in other ways that will make up most if not all of that difference.

You don't make up 2Tflops of GPU with a slower CPU and slower RAM. Damage control incoming!

GitHub redeemed on CUs. I'm also getting that 2.2+ gpu clock runs a tad hot even for their custom cooling. Probably increased to be closer to Xbox SX TF spec. I'd be a little wary.

MS left out one detail. They didn't announce the price. I think they were saving that until sony announces thiers. Price could be higher on PS4 with the 256bit buses & the type of NVME drive they are using. Faster NVME = more expensive

I wouldn't be too sure mate, look at the speeds.

Imagine the yields on a 36CU iGPU which has to achieve 2.23GHz clock speed in addition to realistic power consumption targets. Then, you have the SSD which is legitimately faster than anything you can buy on market. Then, you take into account they'll be using an extensive cooling solution for both of these.

I won't be surprised if this launches at same prices as Series X but I reckon the power thing is gonna be thrown at them so much, that they'll have to undercut. I reckon $449 for PS5.

still not sure what will be better. Let the dust settle and see how big a difference the SSD speed makes. Looks like Sony have been found sleeping however while MS has just went for raw power. Will wait and see prices before making any decisions.
