Because it's a streaming platform... We are talking about power not usage numbers. We know the specs that people still think that somehow the PS5 is the more powerful machine baffles me.
Who thinks that?

Probably based on what we have seen so far. Which is nothing next gen running on the series X.Because it's a streaming platform... We are talking about power not usage numbers. We know the specs that people still think that somehow the PS5 is the more powerful machine baffles me.
Be a fan of anything is far or be defined as be smart, you can understand why in some countries Xbox is more popular. And the Xbox fans are having fewergames to play because their 'Logic' is to boycott something such as COD.
Not sure that's actually logical though...

What is with this FUD that no games have been shown on XSX. DF already showed the Gears 5 footage...

Nobody thinks such nonsense. Where did you get that from?We know the specs that people still think that somehow the PS5 is the more powerful machine baffles me.

As much as I am looking forward to the Series X they REALLY needed to straighten out and clarify their brand. Instead it has gotten even more diluted and confusing.Their Xbox messaging is confusing since 2013.
No, how would I be confused?
The left says Xbox One, the right Says Xbox Series X
That's the edition you get.
The badged below shows you on witch platform you can play the game.
And in both cases you can play on both platforms.
Yeah, from the UK where the Xbox 360 was really popular. But if the company doesn't keep up the pace with their competitors, it's a sinking ship. Sega still have many fans. Didn't stop them from leaving the console market because of poor business decisions by the company.Be a fan of anything is far or be defined as be smart, you can understand why in some countries Xbox is more popular.
For example in some countries Xbox is much cheaper than any Playstation so they grow with Xbox consoles and
the people is not exactly clever for naturale so they choose a brand.
Why would you feel sorry for them. They call themselves gamers & refuse to buy PS & miss out on games because their box of choice does'nt provide the experience they really want. Stupidity at its finest.Cant feel sorry for them. When they deny themselves gaming pleasure. For a corporation. lmao. It's all a unnecessary headache to try & make sense of an xbox gamer.
It's not bad management. Xbox set out what it was suppose to do. Come into gaming & monetize it. Xbox Live & online play was/is Xbox biggest achievement. And their ultimate goal. Thats why there hasn't been anything else great for them.Xbox live has shrunk badly they loss 40+ million subs thats a lot of money. So they are just back to pushing services. Xbox never came into gaming to make great games. It was always about monetising gaming services. Their current status is where they are supposed to be. As their DNA was to create reoccurring service fees.
Xbox are where they are suppose to be.Back to pushing services not caring about games & experiences etc, etc.
I really though you will choose a better answer than is a streaming platform. The thing which surprise me is you are not reallyBecause it's a streaming platform... Sorry for the erratic posts.. My phone is playing up....
But Yeah of course it could all be bollocks but.... Just in case there's some truth too it, I thought I'd share.
Don't mean any halm, and I'm definitely not claiming I'm an insider with sources etc.
S doesn't accept discs from the rumors. So, there is no Xbox Series S![]()
Imagine if Sony discounts just the PS5 DE when you buy directly from them to a lower price than GameStop or Amazon sells the PS5 DE. They could afford to discount it because no one else gets a cut of that sale.I can say this--if Sony does cut out retailers somewhat, with the already known Digital Editions existing(probably at a lower price), it will probably be the end for GameStop.
They've been hurting for a good while now and were banking on next-gen to give them a much needed boost. If they are limited in any way in addition to Digital Editions existing, it'll be catastrophic.
Also--GameStop will purposefully order less of the Digital Edition and/or refuse to stock it, because it's detrimental to their business model. So if you want one of the DEs, I'd look at other retailers.
You wouldn't. But some definitely would. And believe you me (I was manager of a big gaming retail store), some definitely wouldNo, how would I be confused?

Guess they'll be boycotting a lot of games this gen
Sony currently offers free 2 day shipping for PS Plus members if you buy a PS4 directly from their site. For PS5 it will likely be the same, perhaps a bit slower but free. The failed marketing attempt with the CoD XBOX art was to convey they you could play the base version on both consoles. The pricier version disc should have been labeled as Cross-Gen version or something to clearly indicate which version includes access to the next gen update.
Regarding the PS5 pre order direct from Sony, what people are signing up for is a chance that your account might get an email that tells you ahead of their ore order when you can try to get first option at pre order as long as supplies last. It's also a lottery based on some criteria they know about your account. It is their way to try to help some of their gamers have a better chance to pre order than when standard pre order begins. It's probably a few hours in advance or when they open it up to public or something.
My only concern there would be if they charge for shipping. If I manage to buy through Best Buy or Amazon, I don't pay shipping.
Agreed. You might find this interview with Jim Ryan interesting. He clearly agrees with your approach to marketing. It's a lot of insight into Sony's recent shift towards centralized marketing and 1 unified global corporate structure.

I think Xbox digital standard version isn't upgradable too due to MS policy. Not in this case but with other games they are.
However since we are talking about COD it's a 10$ upgrade for PS4 owners and that option isn't available when you buy the Xbox One version. Physical of course.
We are core gamers and are confused, now imagine what will happen to casuals. At a glance i couldnt tell between the xbox version![]()

Digital is, physical is not. Why? Idk.I think Xbox digital standard version isn't upgradable too due to MS policy.
Today's the day boys, all aboard the train!TGO perhaps add Dorito Pope to the train for tonight's festivities.

I think the only reason they made two boxes is Activision's decision to charge for the upgrade. There was no way for Xbox to have a single box with a $70 price while PS would have one for $60 and other for $70.This is going to be nightmare fuel for granny trying to pick up a game for little Timmy.
Why do both versions name both consoles on the box? My understanding is that the XSX version is the $70 one, the "Cross-gen edition" or whatever, so it should also work on X1... and I want to assume the X1 version works on XSX through backwards compatibility, so that's why XSX is named?
The dumbest part is that there is absolutely no difference in visual design connected to compatibility with the two consoles: same exact layout, same colours and everything, even the label at the top is confusing and contradictory with the black line just below it.
Unless they explicitly write it somewhere very visible, when XSX-only games come out I can easily see more than one person mistakenly assume they would also run on X1, considering how confusing the whole "compatibility", "optimized for" and "there are no generations" buzzword game has become.
I would have assigned XSX a different shade of green, either darker or lighter, so at least you can pick up at a glance what is what, and for games compatible with both consoles you can make it split vertically and use both, naming X1 on one side and XSX on the other in their respective color areas.
Demand is SKy high, imagine your a Sony fan and you can't get your hands on a the ps5 this xmas.
I see Riots lol.
That changed that late yesterday.I think Xbox digital standard version isn't upgradable too due to MS policy.
As it is now, i can pass on PS5 day one.
But if Demon Souls or GT7 are day one, that will be another story though
That's great, but there will still have people grabbing the wrong box for the physical version. They should ditch one of the boxes.Activision just confirmed that MS allowed the $10 upgrade path for the digital version in their FAQ/
Gears 5 wasn't BC mode I think. That was the actual game with updated textures and all. It's a cross-gen game. Those are BC mode. Not cross gen or next gen games.
And no ,no one thinks ps5 is more powerful than xsx. Xsx will have upto 20% resolution advatage and better raytracing. Facts are facts . But things like odium saying xsx is 95% more powerful and had 80 x better raytracing , that type of bull shit , I don't jive with .
I don't think developers have a lot of optimizing to do for Stadia. It's a PC in the cloud, if it runs on PC it'll be able to run on Stadia.I really though you will choose a better answer than is a streaming platform. The thing which surprise me is you are not really
able to understand the delta between the consoles is not all in one side and some game can work better in one than other.
Regarding Stadia the answer is much more complex and probably with many causes one of them:
Lack of games with a goal of high graphic fidelity dev to use that platform aded to this one their market is so small than is
not feasible to spend much money in make games which use the feaures of the GPU and CPU for that platform
I'm not in a rush. I'm extremely patient and I'd prefer waiting till spring 2021 to get mine instead of rushing to buy one on launch day and increasing the chances of ending with a defective unit which is way more common with launch day units. I'll waitDemand is SKy high, imagine your a Sony fan and you can't get your hands on a the ps5 this xmas.
I see Riots lol.
Ah, totally forgot this ^^S doesn't accept discs from the rumors.
Is a joke right.I don't think developers have a lot of optimizing to do for Stadia. It's a PC in the cloud, if it runs on PC it'll be able to run on Stadia.
It's not like it's porting it to Switch, even Ubisoft says it's not even that costly (source)Is a joke right.
I mean at least you think a server works exactly as your PC, any program with level complexitly is not enough to say "run" is not the
university where archive the a goal of the software was all doesn't matter the optimizations in low level.
It's reasonable to assume that a Stadia port would generally be a lighter workload than, say, a console port if a PC version already exists.
So they want to play even less games than they did, this generation???
Probably something which will prove to Sony that you're a gamer, and not an opportunistic asshole who plans to get one just so that you can sell it on E-Bay for 4 thousand bucks a day later.
If Sony is smart, they will sell the digital PS5 at a lower price directly from their own site than other retailers. So if everyone else is selling it for $450, Sony could sell it themselves for $400 and probably make the same amount of profit.
So you are telling me is normal a version of 10.7 GCN (basically a vega 56) and intel CPUIt's not like it's porting it to Switch, even Ubisoft says it's not even that costly (source)
I think i am pretty much the same, it will be out of control here, Ps5 day release i am not going out. Gona board myself up all walking dead style and wait a few days before going to the shops.
Avoid those Crowds, avoid the next week of very angry mums and dads.
I might just wait 6 months till Horizon zero dawn comes out with a console deal, game included and some fancy design on the console.
I really don't know, well i need to know what the price is first.
Exciting times ahead.
You're a brave man. First chance I have at ordering one, I'm off the cliff like a fucking lemming.
I think the difference you have to realise is that with a Stadia, you're not just connecting to a single PC that is all yours.Gears 5 wasn't BC mode I think. That was the actual game with updated textures and all. It's a cross-gen game.
I agree that with the rest, saying Xbox is 95% more powerful or 80x RT is ridiculous.
I don't think developers have a lot of optimizing to do for Stadia. It's a PC in the cloud, if it runs on PC it'll be able to run on Stadia.
