they probably hold a lot of stuff back. They want the hype to climax at the end of october/start of november. If they don't unload soon It will be a mediocre buildup to next gen for me. PS3 and 4 era were a lot more excitingThat's what I was thinking, SM:MM is releasing before R&C but we haven't seen a single gameplay. But with that said, if SM looks as good as it does in the trailers well, they could be saving the gameplay reveal for some flexing at their next event.

As i said before, they never seriously critique MS and the Xbox platform. Now out of the blue all the usual shills have something to say about their beloved green box, at the same time.
If by any chance they're serious then good on them. It's only so long you can continue to believe MS's ever lasting promises.
I'm 98% sure they're full of it though.

I think some people are using what happened between Disney and Sony last year to create senseless rumors. Around August 2019 there was a disagreement between Sony and Disney on the movie side of things, Disney wanted to get more revenue out of the Spiderman films they help to create, Sony didn't wanted that so they just took Spiderman out of the MCU and decided to continue the franchise without the rest of the MCU characters. But like 1 month later they reached a new deal where Disney would receive 25% of the profits while also paying for 25% of the film's budget and well, that's where the issue ended.

as you say i think they are saving gameplay segment for the event where they reveal price (assuming there will be another event). i really just want to see it, its my main reason of excitement for the PS5 launch

The COD cutscenes are not in engine, those are made by an external studio specialized in CGI animation. In the case of Modern Warfare, the cutscenes are made by Blur Studio that's why they look so damn good compared to the real time or the gameplay sections.

Honestly I believe they have information that Microsoft is going to do something soon. I'm guessing they know the console is still in track for it's release and they also know that we will see games on it soon. Once that's been revealed they will claim that Microsoft was listening to peoples complaints and reacted accordingly. We will see soon enough what they are actually doing.

They do communicate with each other and if one gets info he will spread it to the others. Klobrille got some information in the past so I wouldn't he surprised if he or someone else is sharing information with the others.
Remember these individuals are hardcore and have been fabricating all sorts of anti Sony FUD. What makes you think they suddenly had a change of heart?

As for Microsoft giving them information on purpose I don't believe that's the case. One or more of them probably have people that can tell them these sorts of things.

Yeah, I think they're saying this right now because they are sure MS will show something or some things running on the XSX on their next event. So in around 2 weeks they will be praising Xbox again saying "we asked and Microsoft delivered!". Whether or not the games will look "better" than the ones shown running on PS5 that's another story.

This takes me back to Grade 10 English class in 1997, where we had to do a oral presentation on mythology. I had the subject of the cyclops and I was only able to get half of the assignment done and during the presentation I was easily messing my presentation up and was getting mocked and laughed at by my class mates and at one moment I snapped and yelled at one chick in my class called Victoria "Shut up you fucking fish faced bitch" my whole class was stunned and laughed so hard shit I even had my teacher in tears from laughing. The building I was in was my high schools main admin building and a floor above the principals and deputy principals offices and the walls between each classroom were folding sliding blinds essentially so needless to say the sound traveled and multiple classes heard me yell the obscenities at this person. Moral of the story I somehow passed the assignment getting like a C+

my guess is it's the games show. We should see much more gameplay and hopefully some more reveals, including the unknown IP which allegedly Mark Cerny is working on and the other being the as of yet unknown launch exclusive, or they could even be the same thing. I wish they would have some sort of QA session to clear up things with Mark behind it but I doubt that will happen.
Definitely agree that they shouldn't mix to much technical stuff in their game oriented events.

Mark Cerny appears at a lot of conferences, especially developer ones, who knows the nature of the hardware breakdown event, but I trust we'll get a Q and A from devs to Mark himself, maybe at a Hotchips or a GDC type event?
Totally forgot about the UI, but yeah, Sony definitely want to show off the capabilities of the SSD including the instant load times as well as the new social features, I think we'll all of that in one event, hopefully!

With Microsoft on the back foot, I don't see Sony delaying. They might(and probably will) have shortages, but that's to be expected in a Covid world.
Microsoft having talks of a delay isn't too surprising, though. They are in a difficult position without Halo or any real killer app right now, plus lots of questions abound even amongst the ardent fanbase over why things aren't being shown running on the hardware.
Taking extra time to make it all right may not be a bad call, so long as they make good decisions in that time frame.
If they don't go for the delay on Series X, I do expect Series S to be kicked back.

A verified one. He apparently has a pretty big source from Sony.
The only ones talking of a delay are Sony warriors taking a victory lap of something that was decided long ago. There will be no real delay because you might as well cancel it. By the time a delay is over Sony would have a 30-40 million lead and you might not even get 3rd party support.

Its just gonna be a video on YouTube like the Pro was. They only put it out once the console shipped in November because then anyone could tear it open, no point in hiding it anymore.
