I see people people discussing that Japanese Youtubers or whatever will get their hands on the PS5 over the next week or so and that they'll be the only ones.

I really don't think this is the case, I think there are multiple influencers/tech enthusiasts who have already or will get their hands on the PS5 over the next week or so, for a review of the console and some of it's features like the SSD and Dualsense. It would make no sense for Sony to allow this for one demographic/region only.

I also think we'll be getting a hardware teardown at the end of next month or the start of November, basically after Zen 3 and RDNA 2 are fully revealed.

That's .... quite unexpected. I really expected a 4k30 and dynamic 1440p-4k 60 (e.g. without RT) mode. At least for a title so close to the launch.

Vampyr isn't bad at all, if you get used to its camera controls, you kind of have to fight the directional sticks, no matter what settings you use for them. But all in all, not a bad game.

Games using different SKUs (crossgen) will need extra work, different game ID. It needs to be converted. We had crossplay games before and it wasn't a problem (PS3/PS4/PS Vita). Legacy ones will do just fine.

With the level of Alpha and particle effects the game shows at times + a seemingly aggressive use of RT, mem bandwidth could be stressed for sure. Bandwidth is the biggest bummer for both consoles.

The self shadowing of the T-shirt onto his neck, and the self shadows from his throat/adams apple onto his skin look really nice. Obviously just a cutscene, but cool all the same.

Since I didn't play the first Spider Man, I am so going to now, plus MM. Looking at the new gameplay posted above, I realized how much I want a next-gen Batman game.

Could be that PS5 is mandating changes to how saves are stored to A: optimize speed or B: reduce the number of writes on the ssd to extend it's life, and the new format just isn't compatible.

Was watching DF's benchmark analysis of the RTX 3080, holy shit, high and ultra high RT settings really push the GPU to around 30-40 FPS at times and you know what's even more mad is that I could hardly tell the difference a lot of the time. In some instances RT seem's like a huge cost just for some fancy reflections and shadows, call me crazy.

I wonder what the trees? they're reflecting look like? If they're low detail like trees can be sometimes in racing games, a reflection is necessarily going to be super low detail

They did it in the past with crossplay. The concern is the non PS Plus users using manual storage upgrade. They'll come up with something for sure.

Sony literally already has cross-save since years.
It's probably easier to implement on Xbox that's why it's more common that devs do it there.
