PS5 also has ML but how its implemented we just don't know yet... Maybe via GE, I think it'll up to devs that are working on true next gen titles to reveal just what the PS5 has hidden in terms of GE and Throughput capabilities... For example GOW devs.
From my understanding, Miles Morales and Demon's Soul's have only scratched the surface of what the PS5 can do....
Demon's Soul's and Miles Morales could have been developed for the PS4 Pro only, thus maxing it out, just the only next gen features being superfast loading and RT.

It’s the same old pie-in-the-sky, “Only XSX has Rapid Packed Math for INT Ops”, stuff we’ve heard over and over. AMD recently demonstrated with their newest released RDNA 2 cards that it’s a staple feature of RDNA 2. Ergo, there’s a strong likelihood it’s also present on PS5.
Regardless, DLSS 2.0 REQUIRES Tensor cores on NVidia GPU, which are more than an order of magnitude faster than the XSX GPU, even with RPM for Int Ops, for inferencing and DL math.
I don’t care what BS Microsoft and AMD are saying, they simply are not capable of producing a DL-based image upscaling feature of the same level of quality and performance as NVidia’s DLSS 2.0. The whole reason it seems so magical in terms of saving GPU perf on NVidia’s desktop cards is that the DL-math is almost fully offloaded to dedicated hardware, designed specifically for deep learning calculations, that simply isn’t present on AMD cards nor either console.
Inferencing and DL math on GPU compute is fucking expensive. It’s not just limited by integer math. It’s HEAVILY memory bandwidth limited. It’s the type of computation that fundamentally isn’t really very well suited to general GPU compute resources. DL math is dense data (as opposed to sparse data) that simply doesn’t need nearly the level of precision provided by GPU ALUs designed primarily around single precision floating point throughput.
Folks need to give up on the idea we’ll ever get something equivalent to DLSS 2.0 on consoles. More traditional, non-DL based, temporal upscaling and reconstruction techniques will almost always be significantly cheaper and close enough in terms of quality to suffice for these consoles.

I've been getting into streaming a bit recently and I stream directly from the ps5 since my elgato is pretty much useless now cus I don't want to game in 1080p..
Do u guys have any suggestions for good usb mics for streaming from the ps5?
I have the blue yeti I've had it since 2016 but for whatever reason when I use it on ps5 it sounds like the gain is up and like there's static from like electronical interference. It sucks.. so I need a new cheap mic. I've been looking into the hyper x solocast and razor siren mini

I've got my eye on a Audio-Technica ATR2100x-USB, no clue if it works on the PS5 though. Stand is a bit shit.
So I'd been going back and forth about whether I want to keep up with PC gaming or just go with both consoles this gen. In the end I decided that it would be silly to buy an xbox because inevitably at some point this gen I'm going to want an up-to-date PC for one reason or another so there is no point wasting money on xbox if that's the case.
I'm not going to do it all at once since GPUs are stupidly priced right now. My CPU was the biggest bottleneck, so I started there. I ordered the Ryzen 7 5800x with a new X570 motherboard and faster RAM. I'll stick with my 1080ti for a little while longer, and wait to see where Nvidia is going with their Ampere refresh. If there is a 3070ti with more VRAM, that might be the best option. And I got my eye on that Samsung 980 Pro SSD too.
It was always my initial plan to go with PC and PS5 this gen, and I think that's for the best. That CPU should last me a long while and I'll upgrade GPU again in 2-3 years maybe.

They just need to do something worthy of praise again at some point.
They went from a good 360 launch to a bad 2nd half to an entire horrible Xbone generation to a really boring Series launch with nothing ready for their new system for years to come. All while pushing a shittier cheap version of the console that will hold themselves and 3rd parties back. You have to really love them unconditionally to not see it for what it is.
I saw remove bottlenecks, cache, and the diagram of the cache between the memory and the gpu. And something about the compute units.
We need someone to decipher this asap, lol.

Not really, I thought god war was my favourite game until I played Ghosts of Tsushima which was almost level on the main game, but Ghosts pips God of war because the co-op legends is so so good. Cant remember last time I was hooked on a co-op multiplayer mode since mass effect.
Ghosts is easily the best engaging combat in an open world game I have played.

Would love to see them put their tech into a purely gameplay focused title; I dunno.. anything but narrative driven + set pieces. I still enjoy their games, don't get me wrong, but I tend to despise like 50% or more of their games and love some parts.
I know I'm in the minority on that and their games are wildly popular, it is what it is.

All GPUs can do ML/DL math. It relies primarily on general floating point compute performance.
PS5 has both considerable FP compute as well as integer math capability. And Rapid Packed Math for INT ops being not exclusive to XSX (as it's standard for RDNA2) there's no rational reason to believe the PS5 doesn't also include it--well... other than fanboy wet dreams.
Regardless, as clearly stated previously, all the RPM for INT dick-waving by Xbox faithful is redundant, because DL computations being extremely latency sensitive (both in operation latency and especially, overwhelmingly memory access latency), it's dependant far more on data locality and memory bandwidth than anything else.
Why would you want a dev whose strength is in narrative-driven games (which is obviously their passion as devs) to make something completely different from this?

Why does someone need to have been into Xbox before Gamepass? It's been around almost 4 years.
Beyond that Xbox and Xbox Live built a big following in the 360 era. Some of that following has stuck around, and are now playing any number of popular third party games online for the brunt of their gaming time. I have multiple friend groups who still generally game on XBL. Many also have PlayStation consoles... some have PCs, but XBL on Xbox is still their main go-to.
