What's the definition of publicly marketed?

And the last image is Xbox Series X with PS5. Great marketing strategy huh!
What's the definition of publicly marketed?
By "product" you mean the fake console designs all over the web and social media? Great marketing.
If he is correct he should comeback here and rub his nuts all over the doubters facesHe already has an account here.

PS5 with RT engine.Missed last 30 pages. So, any worthy news?
Won't take long until it's 5TF, no RT.PS5 with RT engine.
The logo reveal was enough to say the product was real. Nothing to do with leaks and fake renders and pastebins that 99% of the general audience knows about. For a few days, the number 1 trend on twitter, and what I saw on news sites and in newspapers was "Sony unveil the PlayStation 5". It made MASSIVE news everywhere, the world over.
Just because they didn't talk hard facts, or show the box, or show anything other than a logo, it doesn't mean anything. They took to the stage to essentially say "Listen up bitches, this shits real, and its coming at you like a wet flannel".
EDIT: The only thing here is does "publicly marketed" mean announcing the product is real to the public, or does it mean "must be shown on adverts". Either way, its far, far too soon to start displaying it on adverts and such if its releasing later in the year. And I can't see them shadow dropping the next generation playstation smack back in the middle of when they are releasing their biggest games of the entire damn generation.

So you mean Sony is immune because of the PS4 success? Let me see, what other game console that was massively popular followed by a disaster failed one... hmmm.
I enjoy it very much, thanks. I am not enjoying 3/4 part travelling in open world games btw.Enjoy your story driven third person cinematic games coming at you soon, Sony fans!

False alarm guys . Now let's get back to Tommy and his dance moves . What does it mean ??
What does securing IP have to do with their marketing schedule? Is this even based on what they did with the PS4?
Since we're using The Office memes...-34% it's nothing. That's a minus.
499 system. What do you think is a better strategy?
Come with a:
399 system with ~9.5 Tflops (With a PRO system 2 or 3 years later)?
or
499 system with ~12.5/13.5 TFlops (Without a PRO system, Premium from the start)?

*ahem*I had a crazy and unrealistic thought this morning while getting the kiddos ready for school...
What if Lockhart has been staring at us in the face this whole time?
What if the micro tower form factor of XsX is meant to be universal and utilized to house varying spec'd console internals now and into the future?
If they find a way to make things modular and non tech savvy friendly, say you could buy the XBOX Tower and then either purchase the Series S or Series X internals. Either swap them in and out yourself or have a company like Gamestop perform it for you if you're old and clueless.
In three years from now you could use the chassis you already own and buy or trade up to the Series Y or Z internals for cheaper than you would an entire console and get into the mid gen refresh for less money.
Realistically I know this would never happen haha
Though wasn't there a recent XsX screen of it registering as a PC?
Hmmm

I have another theory that already talked about in here, and it even makes more sense, at the light of this rumored change of plans around 2017.
I think ps4 and ps4 Pro was the testing for a generation model in which you launch a more conservative/cost saving console in the beginning, and then a more powerful and updated mid-gen refresh (again developed and priced to not lose money and be affordable) to face the new tech and development needs of the rest of the generation.
So, in my opinion, between 2016 (pro launch) and 2017, Sony concluded by the sales of the Pro, that all the investment and other costs taken with a redesign at mid-generation, simply didn't compensate, and that is more profitable to launch a more powerful PS5 prepared for the 6/7 years long generation, even if it has to take some loss at the beginning to price it more affordably _ and now with the positive numbers on the table of the hardware record sales, AND THE PAYING SUBSCRIPTION MODEL, the complete opposite of the transition from ps3 to ps4!
Well just a theory
The 499.99 with no pro and I think to hit 399.99 it would be closer to 8.5-9tf to avoid any fancy cooling of a 36 cu chip so it have to have much less aggressive clocks with a elcheapo cooling solution. Also other cutbacks would be needed such as a possible reduction in SSD size and Ram quality to get to such a low price. I just don't think it is worth it over 7-8 years giving up what comes with those valuable 99.99 dollars. It is a marathon not a sprint especially with 5nm coming to reduce costs. In the first year or 2 core gamers will be fine with the extra cost if the PS5 is a great value which it would be at 12tf 499.99. Then the costs will come down to reducing cost to get more on board. What do you think is a better strategy?

Yes, I think like that too. And if I did receive this mission from my boss: ( http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2019...yers_from_ps4_to_ps5_at_an_unprecedented_pace ) I think, a lower price is crucial to have success.I think A myself, for both Sony and MS.
I mean, this is a massive leap in power with the latest tech, plus SSD, plus a massively upgraded CPU. Even if they released at 9tf, that's one hell of a massive jump from this gen, and we would see some seriously amazing things.
And at a cheap entry price too? Sold, easy.

Totally agree that 9TF isn't enough for 4k moving forward. Cerny is on record saying that to do 4k in 2016 you needed at least 8TFlops. No way 9 is going to be enough in 2020, much less going forward for the next 7-8 years.499 without any doubt. 9TF may seem many but that people forget that the minimum resolution is now 4k. 4k consumes many resources, the RT consumes many resources, in addition there are more and more users who are not satisfied with 30fps and displaying 60fps also consumes many resources. A system with 9TF will be left behind very fast as soon as the RT becomes standard.
