I wish Sony would use some of their design language from their Hi hi / audio designs into this new PS5. Clean lines and yes give us choice of black / metal

This may be slightly off topic, but why didnt AMD go with 10nm as oppose to 7nm for its zen 2, and why isn't intel going with 12nm as oppose to 10nm to atleast get some IPC improvements until they fully transition to 10nm? NVIDIA's ampere is rumored to be fully transitioning to 7nm from 12nm Turing, but why are they also not using 10nm?

You can add a stupid amount to the BOM if they use a fully metal chassis.
I would love it, but it sure ain't mass-market.

Maybe if they release a special launch edition for a little extra $$$ (which will sell like hotcakes and will probably collectors items if they make it a deliberately limited run)

AMD uses TSMC's foundries to make its chips. While TSMC does have a 10nm node, they also have a 7nm node which is better in every way. Why wouldn't they use the most advanced node for Zen 2?

Intel has its own foundries. Intel don't have a 12nm node. Their 10nm node is in very bad shape -yields are very bad, and they can only produce small laptop chips for consumer markets at the moment. That's why they aren't using them.

The big problem is that x nm nodes between different foundries are not the same.
Intel 14nm =! TSMC 14nm
Intel 10nm =! TSMC 10nm
And so on....

I think if anyone was to buy RAD it would be Sony. It follows after they bought Insomniac.
As I said, there's gonna be a rush to buy up third party studios.
MS more likely to buy Remedy, 4A Games or Techland.
