the form factor would be ok for around 9 or 10 tf i guess.

theres a reason for the xbox design.
if the leaks are true it looks like a 9 vs 11 or 12 situation for me.

10 rdna tf x 1.2 gcn = I cant wait to play some next gen games. I think people are getting to caught up on tf numbers the cpu and ssd improvements is what I am most excited to see. Hopefully some more stable fps and maybe more games with a boost/performance mode for us plebs on 1080p 1440p freesync monitors.

so what was it a few months ago there was that amd testing leak where the 9.2 ps5 tflops and 12 tflops xbox rumor started. Do we know if that was accurate?

They should be referring to target specs, not devkit specs. Target specs are consistent from the start while the iterative devkits eventually meet or surpass them.

The reason why numbers are reported to be different by 'insiders' is due to the quality of sources. Klee is a former journalist since the 90's, Jason a current one, and Matt is a dev. Heisenberg is...well I'm not sure what he is but not everyone is going to have the same solid sources.

E.g., one person has second hand sources, the other has fourth hand sources, etc.

Thanks for clearing this up. I think Heisenberg is innocent in the story, because he only have pass what he have heard which is natural and even him doesn't take the information as literal true

Here is why I consider this a fake. I don't know the correct terms that are used, bare with me.

1. Reddit Icon

2. The button icons are animated in the background, but the wave is static. This is animated on the PlayStation 3 and 4, but on this video its not. I think he was unable to find an animation clip while making this mockup.

3. No highlighter. When you're browsing through the PS4 UI, the box you're selected is highlighted. The other icons are also smaller than the ones you're selecting.

The drop down menu appears to be a bit off axis too

4. "Notifications" would appear on the far left instead of in between the user name and friends list.

Calling this fake. He says they got an early dev kit.....for a 2d game? I DOUBT THAT. Who the hell would use the same username for reddit and their devkit? Beyond stupid.

How do they have a new design of the console but no design of a ds5 in that pic?

Well, he said that he has a PS5 dev kit and then he posted that picture, it turned out it was one of the old PS5 dev kit pictures that got leaked a while back, but he hid some of the picture using an editing software of some sort, and then he failed miserably at it and got exposed, so everything he said were lies and lies and lies, I'm so pissed off!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

This is the pic that he hid which is originally an old pic.

His videos should have made you doubt him in the first place. Those terrible animated transitions and UI placement should tell you all you need to know.

We literally had a much more elaborate fake cgi video made this morning.

Also if he had a manual it would be for the devkit and not the console. It's fake.

Still don't mean he is a fake. Probably just trolled yall since everyone keeps pushing for information. We wont know whos a fake til reveal :(

If the toured secret sauce ssd speed of 6gig Is legit, the console can be purging and consuming its entire ram in seconds. I hope to be delighted by the prospect.
 
Matt was on Gaf for awhile. Are there any examples of him leaking info and it being true? Surely there would be? I'm just curious because I can't recall any.

If I'm not wrong Matt worked at gaming industry when he was on GAF but he doesn't work anymore.

That doesn't meanthat he doesn't have old contacts.

Nope, it was someone else, he wouldn't give them all the information they needed to vet him, but he did show something that proved he had legit info, hence why he wasn't banned, but also not vetted.
 
I'm just going with 9.2/9.4 TF or what ever that leak was for both as we're not sure if that 12 TF for XSX is GCN. So anything above is a bonus. And i'm not expecting much on the RT, maybe a little more powerful than a RTX2060 on RT with a few tricks here and there as they're closed boxes.
 
What if Sony didn't announce anything until before GDC? How are we going to coup with the daily attention seekers with the fake leaks?
 
I feel like the only "insiders" we have left are going to be the fake ones after all the witch hunts that have been going. Don't make me read the reeee version of this thread :( Not that I can post there after getting banned for sneezing.
