BTW why are we even talking about graphics? I played Ori and the Blind Forest on my PC and loved it. Same for Stardew Valley and that game could be from the 90s. Players enjoy a game for more then fps and resolution. Mount&Blade looks like dogshit from artstyle to animations but it is so fucking fun. So constantly stating how PC is better by some people here gets annoying. It is all about the games games games games games (imagine that in Steve Ballmers voice). So this hypothetical "game X from Playstation could run better on PC" is obsolete. It is like me buying a goddamn Ferrari covering it in Svarovskis. UC4 is already a goddamn sexy game. For some reason only Xbox or Playstation attract those people. I never in my life heard someone say but but but Pokemon would run in 8K with raytraced lensflares all over the screen and 300 quatrillion FPS on my PC

This isn't just a thought but their same game plan and reality similar to this gen. They will wait as long as possible to talk about pricing and power or definitely pricing until Microsoft shows their hand so they can come with a "ahhhhhhyuuuuuukennnnnnn" this is also why thy backed out of E3. Expect pricing to be stated after Microsoft talks about pricing at E3.

What most peope tend to forget when comparing PC visuals/performance to the one of consoles is that a console almost equals twice the compute power of an equal PC setup. So assuming the new consoles run 12 TF setups then sure, you can achieve similar visuals on PC but you will most likely need a GTX 3000 series GPU then or a dual GPU setup. See some of Carmacks comments on the matter:

We aught to make a bot for every time this comes up at this point lol. Check the date of the tweet, and then check the release date of DX12 and Vulkan. When he wrote it, there was a literal order of magnitude difference in the speed of draw calls. Now there isn't. He was right then. Then was 9 years ago.

Agreed, the image quality is the best I've seen this gen. Strange enough TLOU2 doesn't have as good image quality in gameplay from what I've seen so far, maybe it's because there's more going in scenes that's stealing the resources.

I saw the previous post before the edit, but can you show your Nvidia control panel while signed into your gaf profile plz? Should be relatively easy to do since you're on the PC. I'm just curious. Whenever I ask people to do these kinds of things, they never can. I want to see if you truly have a 2080 Ti.

No he says ' focus on single spec'' matters and he is right. You can see the difference in exclusives games of vanilla PS4. You can have some of the top graphics of this gen in a 1.8TF console and crappy jaguar.

Yeah, this is the first gen where consoles stayed ahead of PC graphically. It will be interesting next-gen with how things play out with the gap closing a lot more spec wise.
Games are going to look crazy good on both systems.

Yes because focus on benefits of one system matters. Last gen PC had Crysis and last-last gen it had HL2.
Nowadays devs don't care to make a game to serve high-end pc gamers unless it is heavily funded my fans. For example star citizen.

EDIT: As I did say previously, my monitor is ancient and I run in 4k res in MW, which is downsampled to 1080p. Hence the resolution of the pics. But you can tell by the stair stepping and what have you that this is a 4k image downsampled.

I have not seen one benchmark online where someone got 250FPS at max settings in 4K. 100FPS (average is less) is maximum what people are getting at these settings. Balls, turned off now, as I'm chilling with the wife (well WAS haha). But one thing I can say is... no other git running this GPU have likely left their drivers on the old ones haha

As I said, multiplayer runs totally different to single player. Single player hovers around 70-90, which is to be expected. But I do have a decent rig mate, it's not exactly cheap, and I do work with tech.
I will be blunt and say that at times when the action heats up and i have a fillrate heavy scene it can drop a far whack mind you.
But please, I know it's difficult counting pixels on a down sampled image, but you can still see detail and stair stepping.

Yes I wholeheartedly agree with you, it's why I said Uncharted 4 looks better and packs more technically demanding technologies as an engine and as a core game than Modern Warfare 2019 because MW is a 60 FPS on consoles, Uncharted 4 is a 30 FPS game.

Do you guys think you need 250 hrz monitors to run at 250fps...?
That's not how it works, mate. You can run at any frame rate you want, it just won't be taken advantage of if your monitor won't support it. But it will still render at X fps.
Also, I usually run at 60fps capped, due to no need for anything more. I'm eyeing up a new 144 hrz one though for soon.
