Don't get me wrong, it's perfectly possible Sony will do something in Feb. But if they do, it's not because Tommy All Seeing Eye got it right.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day, and to be fair, guessing for a Feb event is like saying "I know MS will be at E3 next year". It's not set in stone, but given track records, it's pretty much a solid bet.
Other stuff said has been said after others, or just pure common sense guess work. For me, personally, I don't buy him. Note that this is nothing to do with console specifics, because others I do buy have put both consoles faster/better/stronger.
I just don't buy him.

If I have two consoles, both using the same up to date technology, but one is slightly faster than the other... Why on Earth would the slower one be the only "next gen" console? What defines a generation? Up to date tech? Speed? Build quality? What is this yard stick you are using...? Because to me, BOTH systems are next generation machines, its just one will be slightly better than the other. It doesn't matter which one that is, because BOTH are next gen. So saying "PS5 is starting a new generation of games while Xbox SX is adding a new coat of paint to this generation of games." is just utterly stupid, is it not? They are both, at the same time, adding coats of paint to existing games while also creating next gen experiences.

No narrative here. Multiple people have been saying 9.5 for ps5. Sony have given no quantifiable measurements themselves and are currently in hiding when the whole internet is rolling around on the ground begging them for more info. Not even a "twice as powerful as the ps4 pro." Nothing. Just basic vague specs.
Microsoft has said over twice as powerful as the Xbox One X. Could mean 9tf could actually mean 12. Though multiple outlets have claimed its 12 and not once did microsoft dispute that. Do you really think they really want to get everyone's hopes up just to have them crushed when they finally reveal the console specs?
Remember CES when everyone was rumoring that Phil would be a surprise guest at the show and show more XsX? Phil almost immediately stepped in and said hey guys I love the enthusiasm but I'm working in Redmond right now. And that has happened plenty other times when rumors start swirling around the net.
I'm not trying to downplay the ps5 and prop up the XsX here I'm just going by what has been shown and said officially by both companies so far.
I really do hope the consoles are closer to each other whether 9tf or 12tf because in the end I will own both machines and want the best performance out of both.

A 10.4 TF PS5 , like you suggested, would be more than 3 times PS4 Pro, considering RDNA vs GCN efficiency. Considering what Sony studios can do with a 1.8TF GCN machine, that's not too shabby.

Was it ever confirmed by the insiders here that PS5 dev kits have some sort of dual sli gpu stuff? The revised dev kits might be having them.

I have to say, I think everybody is going to be disappointed if they are going to just judge these consoles on teraflop performance.
I'd be shocked if FP32 performance is close to 9TF with Series X or PS5.
You're talking $400 range for GPU's to get that level of performance with an AMD chip, and a console would never have a PSU or Thermal's to manage a chip like that anyway.

Switch PRO will be probably in the same league as PS4PRO and Xbox One X. A upgrade version of regular Nintendo Swich, not a proper next gen console. Even between a little or modest bump in specs, will still be a Nintendo Switch.

Different markets mobile is all about short lead times to market. The price point is also much lower than these next generation home consoles. They need to get pre orders up, hype sooner and people time to plan in advance. They are selling most likely in the US 600 dollars out the door with tax including 1 game.

I'd say all his sources are lying through their teeth or do not know better, simple as that. These are the facts (as in verifiable information that is out there): The AMD leak is real. Microsoft went with a completely unique console design for maximum cooling.
If you want to believe Heisenberg's source #1, then Microsoft is running a 56 CU (AMD Leak) APU at 1.4 GHz? Then why do they need the maximum amount of cooling? So that's not realistic.
If you believe his other sources then XSX runs at 1.6 GHz for 11.47 TF. That's possible. Of course then the PS5 APU would need to run at 2.5 GHz to reach the same or 2.4 GHz to run at pretty much exactly 11 TF. The energy consumption of such a machine would be surreal. And that's not even taking into consideration that RDNA has a sweet spot of 1.7 to 1.8 GHz. So to run it at these values is just crazy, they would make the RROD look like a minor problem.
And the answer to it all is Sony themselves. Sony has sold the PS4 Pro by stating that native 4K is not needed, upscaling technology works well enough. They don't chase native resolution. Microsoft on the other hand has done exactly that, put out a native 4K console. The performance gap between PS5 and XSX would just be that, the continuation of their respective strategies, a cheaper console using upscaling to reach a 4K output and another one that goes for native 4K resolution. It's either that or Mark Cerny lied and downplayed native 4K.

It is because the version... just like GCN 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.5 (Vega) etc... last AMD changed the to big version number GCN 1.1 = GCN 2, GCN 1.5 = GCN 5, etc.
I think they will follow the same version numbers for RDNA.
RDNA 1.2 or RDNA 2 is the next-generation of RDNA.

You are right sir I am PS fanboy but all things are pointing out that PS5 is made as a 399 dollar console which less powerful than XSX and XSX is made as a 499to 599 price point machine.

Every vaguely creditable source which claims knowledge of both machines puts them very close. So if you believe one is 9.5/10 then the other likely is, if you believe one is 11/12 then the other one likely is. No single source puts one at 9 and the other at 12.
I think the fact they recent updated the X1 dash is a good indicator of the shared interface.
Agree, but we don't have the context for the AMD leak to draw the conclusions you then start drawing. We know it is likely PS5 tests, but not exactly what or how it was being tested.
For me the choices made regarding the Pro and X1X were business ones and they both fit well with the where each was at the time. Sony were looking to run a 6 year generation at the point of Pro design, so releasing at 3 years made most sense and they put out a good machine to fit that narrative, Plays your PS4 games better and does a decent job of hitting 4K via reconstruction techniques. It was a clever but very much half step design. MS couldn't just put out a similar spec at that time, it wouldn't offer enough to distinguish it from the Pro and Sony were killing it with exclusives. Third Party titles needed to play notably better on the X1 mid gen refresh. So an extra year, extra cost and some really good design and they hit that - just what they needed from a business perspective. That the generation has stretched to 7 years, at least from Sony's perspective, is beneficial to MS.

Microsoft is currently redesigning the Xbox One dashboard layout and I bet they will use this redesign for the Series X aswell.
If you are in a preview dashboard you might already have a version of this redesign
the Series X version might have a facelift for it that looks a bit sleeker but they layout will most likely be the same.

Very close is a subjective term, and could be talking more about performance than actual numbers.
Remember all we heard about PS4 and X1 were that they were very close even after specs were revealed.
If 9 vs 12 only means dynamic/checkerboard 4K vs Full 4K. Then I'd call them "very close"

I'm expecting PS5 between 10-11 TF, 3.2Ghz Zen 2, 16+4GB RAM, 1TB SSD. The GPU will be on the level of an AMD 5700XT.
PS4 (+Pro) BC, as well as PS1 and PS2. PS3 would be a very welcome bonus, but unless Sony is going to shove a Cell processor into each machine, I doubt it*.
I'm also expecting the price to be about £440 - £499 (inc. tax).
(* - although someone once made a good point about PS3 BC in software being a target for Sony due to PSNow - at some point they'll need to replace the racks of PS3 hardware)

I agree with you on this, I think the full final specs are only known by a handful of people and really in the end I am willing to put 100% trust in Mark Cerny on whatever he decides for the PS5, I know he is going to put together an even more balanced system that is even easier to program for than the PS4, I think he did an amazing job with the PS4 by listening to developers and putting together a great system!

Honestly if I get a PS5 with the equivalent of a 5700XT and a low clocked 3700X I will be over the moon. I honestly believe that the XSX will be similar. I know its been said before but I just don't see big Navi in either. For those that expect something higher although I am not saying it wont happen I would think about lowering your expectations. My 3700X with a Vega 56 is sublime for everything I throw at it and too think a PS5 will be more powerful than my current gaming rig at least GPU wise is fantastic.

I never said a single source has claimed to know both console specs together. You're putting words in my mouth.
I just pointed out what we've seen so far from both companies separately.
From Sony we have vague generalized specs and a fast loading SSD. Performance leaks have pointed to 9tf. Sony has given no direct quantifiable measurements vs their current machines. Lots of people online freaking out and upset that the machine might not be as powerful as they want or that Sony is behind or disorganized somehow. Sony is doing very little to reassure fans that all is well.
Microsoft has also given vague generalized specs but also say the XsX is twice as powerful as X1X and the CPU is 4x as powerful. Phil Spencer showed the world the chip already allowing people to speculate. Articles have been running saying XsX will be around 12tf and no one at Microsoft has stepped in to temper expectations. Doesnt mean it will actually end up as a 12tf machine though.
I dont know why you keep fighting with everyone about this based on simple facts that everyone has direct access to online.

The first two NAVI GPU are a 36 CUs and a 40 CUs, those were released around the time the "leak" happened (mid 2019), AMD tested the BC system of Cerny with NAVI and the only navi product they were ready to test it on (mid 2018), and did the same for microsoft but later, so with Arden (mid 2019), maybe the one that will go inside Series X or maybe not.
