I know, but imo, Xbox's most interesting exclusives came from the OG Xbox era.
I still go back to games like Gun Valkyrie, Otogi, and Panzer Dragoon Orta today. But I'm not naive enough to think those styles of games would sell well to their modern audience...
I just want them to throw me a bone.

Yeah, SEGA were on fire at that time. Crazy to think those would've been Dreamcast games had it stuck around, it's probably a big part of the reason a lot of people call the OG Xbox a Dreamcast 2. It pretty much was xD.
Hopefully with a lot more to do in those denser and more detailed worlds, too. Always get kinda miffed seeing cityscapes in games with tons of buildings and scenery but very little genuine interaction with them.
I know people are very split on the IP (and the latest game was, well, "interesting") but that's one thing I give the Shenmue series props for, particularly the first two games. Almost every building gives you some pretty decent amount of interaction with it, there's generally something you can do in all of them. Basically kinda translated the feeling of a fleshed out explorable town in older 2D JRPGs into a 3D space, but without the JRPG tropes and theatrics....
which makes the Shenmue series a lot less appealing to me tbh, but still I give it props for having that level of interactivity in bustling cityscapes

Yeah bro I'm with you. I recently finished "Days Gone" and on top of the dynamic weather, good graphics, nice lighting it was so cool to see dynamic events happen like a horde attacking the bigger freaker zombies lol, I saw a bear kill two zombies by smashing them in the floor. People talk about AL not advancing but when I play Days Gone I see alot of advancements and npcs with minds of their own. I know what I'm saying is a little different from what your getting at but I agree more dynamic cities, backdrops, events, etc would be awesome.

Return to castle wolfenstein was a genrational leap from the ps2 version so was splinter cell 3.
Talk about double dipping on a bunch of games as i had ps2 and got an xbox in the final year of its life cycle.

Yeah, whenever I see futuristic or alternative cityscapes in art like this all I can think is I wanna play in that world.
With the way many tool sets are going I wouldn't be surprised if it's possible in AA+ games at least. Workflows are getting really good at using procedural generation to lay the foundation with artists then coming in to tweak. A lot of same or similar assets can be used but with a vast array of variables too.

Oh definitely, the OG Xbox version of Wolfenstein had an exclusive Co-Op mode, I wasn't a big fan of the PS2 until I discovered component cables.

It means he heard a lot from developers saying this to him, if it was his opinion, he wouldn't even say it, you can't deal with hardware and numbers as OPINIONS and continue to move on it and state it, and what makes it worse is that he's a journalist so he wouldn't risk it for that, and this perfectly lines up with the numbers that KLEEGAMEFAN has been talking about, he even said way back that both Sony and Microsoft are aiming to beat Stadia's 10.7 TF number (no architectural conversions here) before XSX's 12 TF reports and rumors started flying around, and after the 12 TF rumors about XSX came out, he said "I told y'all both Microsoft and Sony were aiming to beat Stadia"....so this says that both consoles are more powerful than RTX 2080 and are 12 TFs or around it, there's no smoke without fire.
Xbox Series X's 12 Navi TFs is more powerful than an RTX 2080 so I think he's right when he said it, we will just have to wait and see if the PS5 is 12 TFs which I'm very sure it will be.

There's really no way to prove that, and maybe no way to disprove that. It's like the supposed ps5 symbol from yesterday. Probably fake but a bit tough to say definitely. I feel like 2/3s of this thread have become pointing out pretty clearly fake things and people speculating on things that don't even deserve any speculation, like completely normal tweets.

To do what, exactly? This sort of testing is done offline, you don't do it on a public server.
