It took me almost 6 months to beat as well. Squeezed in a couple hours here and there till finally i beat it. Trying to be a completionist made me drag it out more. I still prefer the older games tho.

Still Haven't Beaten God Of War... I had bought PS4 Pro GOW Edition to enjoy it in 4K. Got busy and was grinding ESO With Friends On Xbox. Went back to play GOW and HDMI port went out on PS4 PRO GOW edition. It was just out of the Warranty. So I refused to play it on a OG PS4 so I waited and got another PS4 Pro later. Then ended up Playing Days Gone and Death Stranding First. Kinda Now waiting On PS5 before I play it. Hoping it runs full 4K.
I know I should be shot and hung and drug through the streets for not playing it yet!

I've made the huge mistake of playing through most of it and stopping near the end for a break and never went back to it. Now every time I want to continue to finish it I just can't because it's been so long. The longer I go the harder it gets to get back to it. Obviously I need to get used to all the controls again :/

It doesn't seems so but when you got all the stuff and you come back after a break, you realize how fucking difficult is that game to control, you feel like a giant baby that is learning how to walk. I started NG+ months after the last play, on Hard, and first hours I was a complete noob.

Well no, I actually played it last month for the first time. Never before. Made sure to finish it before moving onto anything else.
I didn't think I would like it at first but by the end, I was hooked.
The only downside was I barley used any armour or anything, I used like two different sets, and one of those was the myst armour that was just too good to give up. Even after beating all the valkyries I didn't use the armour.
Interested to see where the next one goes...

GOW is the best game ever made PERIOD
I finished it in two sessions. I took a couple of days off from work and got myself some good weed and a 4K OLED TV. I remember my wife coming down in the morning and me showing her the screenshots I made. She didn't fully understand my excitement, but that's her problem and not mine.
God Of War is one of the best games on PlayStation. What Sony Santa Monica pulled off on 5-6 year old hardware is next to unbelievable. Having done multi-year projects myself I could totally relate to Cory Barlog braking some tears when he did a reaction video looking at the reviews coming in.
I recently applied for jobs at SMS, because I would love to be part of their next game. But haven't received an answer yet.

I didn't mean to scare you but it's true, the game introduce new mechanics so slowly and steadily you get used to it, but if you try to re-learn everything all togheter isn't easy at all, everyone bash the variety of enemies but even the slightest variation is well designed, they are chess pieces, try to fight different units togheter untrained on later game and you get smacked in your godly ass. And don't let me start with Valkyries, the last one is one of the most complex bosses of this gen.
In all this scenario, you need to quickly manage throws, fists, arrows, amulets, combos, kratos magic, atreus magic, shield\parry, finishers, two types of dodges and pick ups adapting to different range and speed of enemies lol
What I did was using only the axe first even if I already had the second weapon, to recreate the learning curve of the normal game.

Ha! Count me in as someone who bought ps4 pro late (a year ago or so ago) just to play GOW. Finished it and loved it. After playing 6 or 7 other exclusives, GoW is still by far my favorite.

Regarding Covid-19 and console production and supply by Foxconn(PS4 manufacturer, 10% Xbox One as well)...wccftech: Foxconn to Resume Normal Operations by the End of March as Coronavirus Situation Stabilizes in China.
I remember reports from mid-February that claimed Foxconn was resuming operations, but it was later debunked. Hopefully, this one is true and things can begin to stabilize again. Hopefully the workers there will be treated better as well, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

I'm fairly certain the target has never changed, the Devs were aware that the target was above the first Dev kit, the target has always been 13TF. New Dev kits were rumoured to ship in March, so that lines up. It would surprise me greatly if PSVR2 shipped this year, I would say 2022 is more likely. PSVR is not there current focus.

It makes a huge difference for me. Playing Oblivion or FO:NV on the X is night and day. Instead of sometimes almost a minute of load time it's now only a few seconds. It makes those games SOOOO much more enjoyable to play.
Back when they came out on the 360, I used to get dread fast travel or simply entering a building and I'd get really irritated when I walked into the wrong building by mistake because of the looooong load times.
From what we've heard, with the SSDs that frustration should be eliminated and I'm all for it. I don't even care if it does anything else to enhance games.
