citation needed. Seeing how MERS started in the middle east in 40+C heat, and this is also a corona virus like MERS, there is nothing to suggest it will go down in the summer.Doesn't seem to be spreading in the hot equatorial climates. There have not been major outbreaks in the southern hemisphere.
Experts believe, like influenza it survives longer in cold weather.
