Wait wasn't Notorious BIG the original person for that quote? 🤔
I think he was

This is going to sound a little dumb but I hope we don't get any major leaks before the event.
Same tbh.

I actually dont care about the design that much. I'm a fan of minimalist design, i'd hate it if it had flashing RGB lights as would be distracting gameolay experience.

Headphones on and eyes glued to the screen. Its all about the games imo, max immersion.

I really believe they will implement the V design from the first devkit.

Even the later DKs still used it just more sleek and polished looking.
I don't know how the V shape design will sit with people but it sounds very "cool" to me! :)

Where we are going we don't need tracks.
I am sure that's almost a movie quote.
Back to the future. I mentioned it the other day.
Thanks for sharing, if anyone has seen some of my previous posts I've been speculating for a while now that the PS5 console will look very very unique and different! I'm so curious!
Maybe it doubles as a waffle iron. That's how it gets rid off the excess heat.

edit: so they are saying about 4 1/2 inches tall. Maybe that pencil drawing of it was for real.

I'm on about PC cards as its a fairer way to compare the TF and in no way using it to compare to the consoles just how useful it is as a yardstick. I get that people use PC cards as a rough comparison like DF did with the 2080 super (i think) in the Gears 5 XSX video.
I was thinking along the same lines but with the 5700 being overclocked and outperforming the higher cu of the 5700XT but in turn does pushing the clocks higher on the 5700 push up the TF.
I think it is a mistake (not you, but any one) trying to make the comparisons just thinking about GHz or TFs. I understand the need (people, websites, etc) but it is undoubtedly a mistake. I'm not an engineer and maybe I don't explain it properly, in that case if there is one around here maybe I can explain it more technically, but in summary the change of an internal structure can totally alter the results.

If you stay only in PC examples, it is more logical to make those comparisons, because what AMD manufactures is what you buy. In the case of consoles, what AMD manufactures is not what you buy, you buy something that has been modified. You buy a TuningGPU. On PC you buy the normal GPU. And depending on how you can buy the TweakedGPU version. But not tuned. The consoles carry tuned versions of their respective bases.

Have you seen a tuned Golf GT? Right, neither you nor anyone else. It's very fast. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

By the way, according to which tasks it is not always better to have more CUs. Sometimes it is better to have less but faster.

I can share a pic from a fan render that was fairly close to what I saw around the time the thermals were under controls.

I should edit in I would assume they would look something like this.

Yeah something like that looks plausible for Sony... Im getting a little bit PS2 vibes (vertical stand) mixed with PS4...

Although the PS button will need to rotate depending on orientation or it'll be a flop...

I am a long time lurker here and really enjoy the discussions that go on even the ones where trolls get put in their place but mainly the tech discussions. There are some very smart individuals that try to explain things to the best of their abilities and I truly appreciate it now with that said How the Hell do I get a ticket for the train to the promised land I need to be on that train

I'm getting heavy Internet router vibes here. Can't say I'm a fan, personally. What's with the weird overhanging edges?

In Cerny's presentation on backwards compatibility I thought it was weird to have so much empty space in that graphic. It leaves room for two more consoles to be named in the same font size. Why cramp everything in the top of you don't need the other space?

PS. Sorry for the bad edit... Mobile

The emptiness was filled in the initial part of the video. Not too odd there, but I understand the lack of filling it up overall.
