Tom Warren has been getting bitter and bitter. He should check his sodium levels before the PS5 event, it might be too much for his heart.

I got banned on RE a long time ago for calling him out. I didn't know he was a 'journalist'. He's too childish to be a professional in my opinion.

WTF is this dude even trying to say here? lol

XSX won't be running WIndows CE either, does he not want one? And WTF is he trying to get across with the PS5 chip thing?

I was wondering, would anyone want to comment on the event live? This thread is going to run like a rollercoaster but I mean live chat. I know Discord has a bad name here but it doesn't have to be a jerk circle. Anyone interested?

Edit: Cerny girl links for anyone joining!

Who's knowledgeable on current Sammy/SEGA? I'm not, but I've been having a think, and I want to play devil's advocate.

Instead of rebranding the xbsx for Japan, could Sega be providing VR/holographic headset inroads for MS?

There was the cancelled MS/acer mixed reality headset, windows 10 mixed reality apps, "Hololens" technology that all seemed to stall-out. But aren't SEGA big on all that for their Hatsune Miku VR concert games? And the STEAM virtual bedroom where you pickup MegaDrive games off the shelf and then play the rooms on a virtual MegaDrive.

Any of this sounding plausible? It's not a rebranding of xbox for Japan, but it would explain why the technical team were interviewed (unless it's simply an arcade board/mini console announcement, but I can't see those being games industry shattering).

So from what I understod about the SXS cooling it sucks in air from the bottom and pushes it all the way through the top.
Was thinking, couldn't that design potentially accumulate loads of dust everywhere (faster than normal, that is)?

It's a joke about how MS first stepped into the console space to begin with, providing a version of Windows CE for Dreamcast.

Will we reach 200?!

I am expecting that price as well and personally I am 100% fine with it, with all the tech that is inside that system it is an amazing deal! Hoping they offer a $550-600 model with double the internal storage though, if so I will be jumping all over that!

Regarding the pricier model with more storage, that's a good idea. The good news is even if you get the original model, Sony is allowing you to expand storage with an extra m.2 slot they have in there, but apparently you have to use specific ones as it has to at least match the speeds of the existing SSDs inside.

Yeah, that is what I remember hearing, I think Cerny said it has to be 7GB/s minimum on the NVMe drive due to the overhead, which we don't even have drives that speed...yet!

If they're running these ads on ESPN, they're DEFINITELY showing off the console on Thursday and that also means the event itself is gonna be BIG. I seriously can't imagine how insane the viewership's gonna be for this event, numbers are gonna be OFF THE CHARTS, can't fucking wait, 3 more days to go.

That's right -- Sony is promoting the PS5 reveal event on TV. The aforementioned PS5 video was spotted on ESPN:

It's not the only sighting, either. Other ESPN viewers are claiming to have seen the advert too, so there's no doubt this is the real deal.

For Sony to be forking out on TV spots for this PS5 reveal event is pretty astonishing. We understand wanting to advertise the console, or its games, but to market a live stream on national telly? That's a whole other level. It seems the company is really going for it.

That's still one fugly box even with a nice Sega logo on it.

I can see my cleaner thinking it's a waste basket and trying to empty it.... or my gf thinking it's a plant pot and sticking some flowers in the thing lol

as Long as it's quiet, I really don't care. Don't know why people make such a fuss about it.
I'd rather have this than a small and loud jet engine console.

i dont even understand what hes trying to say here. that the ps5 ssd is basically ram?
He's a bitter fanboy calling the PS5 an SSD drive (because he thinks that's all it has going for it) and joking about the SEGA Dreamcast running on Windows CE.

It's not particularly funny nor clever.

I'm starting to be concerned about streaming quality, so many people watching... GoT's SoP streaming quality sucked hard, I had to rewatch it later to get a better image.

According to this dude, not related to MS at all.
