You are less than half the recommended bitrate.. but I suppose you could let it buffer.

Do you upload videos to the internet? I do. If you do more bitrate than recommended you're just wasting your time:

I've uploaded a video once being 2GB, then later youtube made it 150MB. Youtube videos are heavily compressed, but smartly using VP9. Anyway 1080p on youtube looks like shit, 4K is fine.

Original video on my PC even after rendering it at 68Mbps is 461MB, but on youtube it's 159MB

Program Managers are not software developers... they are project management people.. they sit in meetings all day.

Do not take too much stake in what someone like that says.

edit: What's so funny @Rusco Da Vino ? It's the truth.. worked on several projects at MS before, they are not highly technical people.
Yeah but from where i'm sitting guy like that having power is a problem (for MS at least).

Dan YouTube sucks.

The videos I upload to DongTube never get that compressed.

Was reconstructed from a minimum of 1440p and last gen reconstruction was great for showing 4K detail. And about the pandemic the lockdown is almost over in Europe. Bandwidth restrictions should be region related.
And yet that YouTube video was 1440p.

Ah, good to know the whole world is inside Europe...

Yeah we talked about the SSD differences between XSX & PS5, and we whined about it, but the differences here between PS5/XSX and Lockhart in GPU is HUGE, graphics would have to be held back a lot, you are actually agreeing with me here.

No one whined for GPU differences between XSX & PS5 because it is actually very small, way smaller than the differences between Xbox One & PS4 GPUs, all I'm saying is with the example I have provided with my 1st comment, read it please before replying like that.

How on earth would Lockhart hold back the graphics on the PS5/XSX?

It makes absolutely no sense.

If Lockhart exists, it will most likely be able to play next-gen games at 1080p, if it has a GPU at around 33% of the XSX, a CPU more or less the same and an SSD at the same speed. Tell me again how that would hold anything back on the PS5 or the XSX.

Here's a hint - it won't. Your post was ridiculous hyperbolic.

We're talking almost half a year back. You can do much progress in that time. I guess they're not back at the usual capacity.

True, projects are always improving over time but there's also always a cutoff date to have a working demo/vertical slice/prepared footage completed by. My company's offices will only be open to 50% capacity in October, full reopening is still TBD, so I imagine it's much the same for a lot of these studios.

not true, according to Sony PlayStation Blog:

So, top 100 games will run with higher framerate and/or higher res (boost mode, like Ps4 Pro).
All other games run it the same as PS4.

Well, maybe he knows more than Sony. lol

How on earth did you reach that conclusion? That is not a confirmation that only the top 100 games will run in enhanced mode. It just states they have tested the top 100 rated games recently and compatibility was excellent and testing is being done on a game by game basis. I'm sure many more games will get enhanced mode once they go through the testing process.

How likely is it that we see the final design of the console?

My prediction is that they will tease the design at the end of the event with the next date being the hardware teardown.
Revealing the design officially with the teardown segment Cerny talked about in March would make sense.

Sony wanting everything shown to be running on PS5 is a start...

Plus, this is first party stuff too. Always gonna be better than third party showcases, regardless of console

Capped data connections? They're not all using Internet in some third world country like the US, you know. Most of the world is not capped.

It drives me crazy that so many of us (including me) in the US are stuck with shit data caps. Ridiculous.

U WOT M8?
It didn't happen this gen, why would you expect it to happen next gen with CROSS-GEN games?
At the launch of this gen, Ryse was the best looking game. I think it's debatable what game on the PS4 Pro looks better than Gears5, but there's no point in arguing because everyone has an own opinion on what they find pretty. Besides that, the XSX has the better GPU, CPU and RAM. That's basically why I think they'll deliver at launch, but bookmark my post, I have no problem with saying I'm wrong once we've seen gameplay on both sides.

Sony moving the industry forward and MS moving the industry backwards.... that's why is very difficult for me to have sympathy for them...
I agree with you a 100% my guy, it really sucks to see them doing this stupid stuff, this is not me being a fanboy, this is me being a passionate gamer for real.

Tbh guys that 1080p@30fps isn't a good first impression we need for a next gen console, it's been 2 weeks they could've rendered that shit on a bicycle 🤦

Ok now time to get some heat up 🤣

Side note: I'm serious 🥺
I don't know, that State of Play for Ghost of Tsushima had such poor quality I had to rewatch it later. It doesn't help YouTube speed rates have been reduced worldwide.

That's a weird way to say Killzone

It won't. It would be already held back by majority of PCs. Welcome in the Microsoft reality.
