You do realize that wasn't a positive review of Halo graphics right? Also did you skip all the ps exclusive vids that were very positive? Just because they don't push your bias narrative doesn't mean they are bias.So explain to me why they do for Sony showcase (in particulary for GT 7 with 400% zoom) if they are not biased?

Frankly speaking, it makes we wonder if PS5 disk is incompatible with PS4? Other way is mostly confimed by now, but if games are cross gen, can you put PS5 disk inside PS4? Not clear enough.

The PS4/PS5 covers are a lot more smooth looking, at least on the front. I much prefer the side on the Xbox version. Looks a lot cleaner.

Well, I assume that the PS5 disc would have the PS5 code only and won't run on a PS4. The PS4 disc will have PS4 code but that can run on PS5 with BC.

Of course, it would take away a lot of confusion if MS could name their console generations and sku's clearly (ONE/SERIES for Xbox 3/4, and X/S for Pro/Normal).

I'm beginning to think there is no Series S. There's not enough room on that black strip to fit Xbox Series S text and would they also try to stick an "Optimized for Series S" sticker on the box as well? Maybe XCloud is doing better than expected and that will be the alternative to XSX.

Well I don't count Godfall, since that's not an exclusive. So indeed 7 against 10, so mostly non exclusive games. What's so wrong with saying that? The games that are non-exclusive games are huge (Fifa, RDR, Overwath, CoD) so it's not like that's a bad thing. Although most of them are just graphic improvements, but looking forward to Overwatch 2 and the HP game

Yes, the actual respective console version of the game gets downloaded. Again, it's quite practical as one doesn't need to look for matching console names in the box.

As much as Halo was a technical disappointment, the bigger problem I see is it seems it was the only big/AAA FP game Microsoft have for the foreseeable future and even listening to last nights RDX podcast it was clear even they were shocked at the poor showcase and that nothing was shown actually running on the XSX hardware.
I'm sure Halo will be improved before launch but I doubt they will delay it as there is literally nothing else close to being ready (2022+ for Forza, Fable, Everwild etc) to take its place.
What we all should be worried about is after this poor showing what will Sony do now? They could get cocky after this....
For weeks the word on the street was Microsoft were going to bring it and be dropping bombs left and right. They even got lucky with the May TP showcase dry run that showed where they were lacking and which gave them weeks to prepare for the big one (as well as see what Sony had) and yet we still ended up with what we got last week.
Not sure how that was possible and I would love to be a fly on the wall in Phil's postmortem meetings.

A video like that doesn't really scream "Watch this and get educated on what the issues with Infinite are". Quite the contrary, to be honest. There are much better videos out there (like that Cherno-dude). If people didn't listen to him, they won't listen to that video, which looks like it has been produced by someone who has just discovered Windows Movie Maker.

I think Digital Foundry are great at what they do. The backlash is about the perception of differences when certain DF members do a video that zooms in x% and really deep dives into analysis picking apart the content, and then you see the same people blatantly not even doing even close the same type of analysis. More of a gloss over. If it seems those people are picking and choosing when to do deep dive and when to gloss over, it's not a good thing.

You can't just run PS4 code and inject RT in it. Assets are also packed differently.
Smart Delivery is also different from BC.
Publishing a game on PS4 does not exclude publishing a PS5 version.

Is the XSX game gimped and same size as Xbox one version or will it have higher quality assets ?

That's confusing as hell... Unified box with both PS4 and PS5 logos would've been better.
It is as seen on PC with RT on vs RT off... Anyway, nothing is stopping them for putting both versions on the disc, or at least store the PS5 patch on PSN so once the disc is booted on the PS5 the game gets properly updated.

My guess is, any cross-gen boxes would be PS4 and have a notation about PS5 features or "enhancements" ala PS4 Pro Enhanced. Any PS5 only discs will have a PS5 branding. I think that avoids confusion.
