Microsoft Game Studios (most? all? I'm not sure) rely on third-party game engines and UE is one of the most popular.Probably should focus on his own product. Been a disaster so far.

Damn. I mean it's not bad. But at 80CUs it would be a monster GPU :/Yes, it has being confirmed by MS themselves. Pixel performance of 116 Gpix / sec. It's 64 Rops * 1825 mhz = 116.8 Giga pixels / second

LOL. So do the math wrong to make PS5 look better, as well as purposely leaving the -18% instead of using your new math which would be -22%.fixed.

I just had the misfortune to read the start of his twitter thread on Hot Chips and stopped after reading this nonsense:
Series X's APU is on a more efficient process node than PS5's!????!! This is what you call clueless misinformation from an Xbox fanboy.
The dream is dead?
"An official at the PlayStation unit, who asked not to be identified because the plan is not yet public, said Sony's next announcement regarding the PlayStation 5 is tentatively scheduled for this month."
Bloomberg

Microsoft make games (e.g. Forza Street) using Unreal Engine that are on iOS.Curious if anyone knowS how Epic having access to Apple tools affects Microsoft?
for example 36CU vs 52CU:LOL. So do the math wrong to make PS5 look better, as well as purposely leaving the -18% instead of using your new math which would be -22%.
Well, that's one way to sway a board.
They could still drop something via PlayStation Blog so I wouldn't say it's dead until the month is over. However if they are planning a big event where they invite the press I would say that isn't possible at this point.
No invites needed as it's most likely all of their events going to be online.
As the world's largest content delivery network, we have been working closely with our customers and carrier partners to maintain continuity for their businesses. Akamai's intelligent edge network architecture is inherently designed to mitigate and minimize network congestion, and because we have deployed our infrastructure deep into carrier networks, we can help those networks avoid overload by diverting traffic away from areas experiencing high levels of congestion.
Akamai is also working with leading distributors of software, particularly for the gaming industry, including Microsoft and Sony, to help manage congestion during peak usage periods. This is very important for gaming software downloads which account for large amounts of internet traffic when an update is released -- a software update for a modern game generates an amount of traffic roughly equal to 30,000 web pages.
"Playing video games enables people all over the world to connect with friends and family and enjoy much needed entertainment during these uncertain times. Our goal is to partner with other leaders in the industry to help ensure gamers are able to enjoy engaging experiences," said Jim Ryan, President and CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment.
"As people look to gaming for play and social connection, we're seeing record engagement across Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live, and Mixer. We're actively monitoring usage and making temporary adjustments as needed to ensure the smoothest possible experience for our gamers. We appreciate the collaboration with partners like Akamai to deliver the joy of games in these unprecedented times," said Dave McCarthy, Corporate Vice President, Xbox Product Services.
In regions where demand is creating bottlenecks for customers, we will be reducing gaming software downloads at peak times, completing the downloads at the normal fast speeds late at night. This approach will help ensure every internet user and consumer continues to have the high-quality experience they expect across all of their internet services, and that gamers will still get the download they want, though it may take longer than usual during peak usage times. Even more importantly, this will help ensure healthcare workers and first responders working hard to contain the spread of COVID-19 have continual access to the vital digital services they need.
That has not made, and never will make a game....EVER.
We could all create a web site, and claim to be a developer, what would you call your studio.
I think I will be Team Geordie Games.

Hi Betty, I'm a huge fan of your workThis reads like "if we stick with Epic (because Apple kicked us out too), we might have a better chance to have xCloud, Gamepass on iOS!" What has Epics "UE4" anything to do with Microsoft xCloud? There should be not one legal dispute, but two against Apple.

Yeah I'm thinking we'll be getting news this week. Probably on Thursday or Friday. Maybe we're getting dates not actual news, but still. Would be something.

By the way how is that Fud list?Did you stop doing it?i am not sure i can handle another week of FUD.
What he's essentially asking is to give third party app developers like Epic to NOT pay Apple, Google, Valve, Sony or even Microsoft their 30% store cut, and sell to PSN, XBox, iphone, and android customers directly. This is crossplay bs taken to another level. their entire business model revolves around taking that cut. you simply cannot afford to make xbox and ps consoles, iphones, and android devices and not take that cut.
By the way how is that Fud list?Did you stop doing it?
I bet it's growing faster than Covid, so I can understand why you would stop and with some here, it's like the neverending tale.
Oh right good point. The xcloud aspect slipped my mind
I'm partial to "Next gen and a Fish"It will be titled I Am Authority, tales from Spence's brick sculpted z-brush ass.

PS5:
4 x 2.23 GHz ~ 8.92 Billion triangles per second
XSX:
4 x 1.825 GHz - 7.3 Billion triangles per second
Triangle culling rate is twice number triangles rasterised per cycle.
PS5:
8 x 2.23 GHz - 17.84 Billion triangles per second
XSX:
8 x 1.825 GHz - 14.6 Billion triangles per second
PS5:
64 x 2.23 GHz - 142.72 Billion pixels per second

Then you have the customisations and efficiency savings in design....
Funnily enough I'm sure that thisstopped at 52 points. There was just too much. It is never-ending, sometimes it feels that the fud was coming out fast than i could write it down, and i pasted and copied a lot, so that's saying something.
I asked some of the xbox fans to make their own list but well they just left the thread.
Just imagine if we keep updating it till the actual release of the console.
Might of got to 200 points lol.
