House set him up so well no matter what he does Sony wins with 70% plus market share. My point is he is lucky to be facing a late and under funded phil Spencer. If this was his strategy versus a properly funded Peter moore he would get his clock cleaned. Jim "money hat" Ryan is just ego stroking at this point being a secret squirrel to try to show he is the man.

The late pre order date ensures no second wave of pre orders making them more valuable hence more scalpers. This is a 1 shot deal outside a few retailers who will gouge with "bundles". Your cart crashes and your at the mercy of retail bundles. Also the late date puts more casual gamers in the queue for xmas gifts.

To be fair, despite its lack of exclusives, the Series X will have the performance of a PC build that would cost almost $1500 to buy from scratch this fall. $600 is a good value. (And forgive me I'm not a PC user so this build could be wrong.)

The consoles will always be the better value that's for sure. Looks like a nice build, I'd scrap that CM PSU though. You can get a really nice Super Flower (either brand direct or rebadged as high-end evga or antec models) at the same price.

Mid is Ubisoft and Call of Duty and end is TGS20. I think we might get UI or teardown (or both) this month (a video drop, not an event) but an event with price/pre-orders next month. As crazy as this may sound.

Yep. Both mine are hardwired. Nothing ever lagged. I can even browse the store and PSNOW list near instant.

I'm assuming nobody uses the wifi connection. It's obsolete and near useless.

Of course its gettig old, my point was not about Halo (joke), it was about native 4K60 vs temporal 4k60 if they are remastering and adding some nice effects and IQ over and above ultra settings.

I have like 15 consoles in my house, 2 gaming desktops, 2 gaming laptops, and a gaming PC hooked up to a TV lol

I can play any Playstation game between my PS4 and PS3 fatty, any Xbox game other than OG XBox not BC supported (my modded XBox fried, oh well), have Dreamcast, all the Nintendos back to 64.. and like 50 ways to emulate every pre-N64 console lol

My point is; not everyone ever wants to deal with PC gaming.. no matter how powerful the graphics cards are.. it's not a choice people make as though PC and console are easily switched between, it's a totally different beast to take on.

I totally agree with you Nvidia power won't kill Xbox but it can make a dent in its hardware sales.

And I think they looked at the venn diagram of people interested in Pc, people interested in Xbox and people interested in Xbox games.
Then if releases their games on pc makes them more money than the dent in hardware then It's a profit....Not even counting that their games can become a garteway toward the Xbox ecosystem and games (same reason why Horizon just came out on PC).
So of course people interested in consoles and Xbox games will buy an Xbox and that's great for them.But for the people leaning toward a pc that can find redundancy wth an Xbox they still get to buy their games ...It's a win win situation.

I don't think horizon and death stranding came to pc as a gateway to playstation hardware. to me it looks more like ...exactly how microsoft found the way to pocket money from pc gamers.
remember, sony and ms pay a lot of money for their fancy studios to make these games.
and I blame neither of those companies for pc. its all good. I'd even say that because sony has royally ...fucked up the enhanced backward compatibility thing, it will be more beneficial for playstation games than for xbox games in the long run.
