xss would be better without that side vent now it looks like baby speaker monitor or street sewerage lid which you wish to take off and shit inside when can't hold it. that's was my first thought when i saw it.

Interesting news.

I have been thinking $399 for one of the PS5 models, question is whether $399 is the cheaper or more expensive one.

I can't 100% confirm this. That's why I tagged the Lovely HeisenburgFX4. This isn't even second hand info. This is more like 4th Hand info. So please take this as a rumor for now. If HeisenbergFX4 HeisenbergFX4 can check with his sources to verify or see if they have hard this rumor or whisper. So please don't attack me. Just passing on what I heard from somebody that heard it from somebody else second hand.

The reason you haven't heard the Price of the PS5 yet is because Sony is Working to Secure A reliable transport method for shipping. Because of Covid they haven't been able to lock down for certain a big enough distribution chain world wide. I was also told because of the shortage at launch you will not be able to walk into a game store and buy a PS5. Most of all preorders will be handled by Sony and Sony only. It will be 2021 before PS5 is made available regularly on store shelves. With a small to slim chance in mid December for stores to have them for walk in purchases. I was also told the PS5 price is rumored to be $549.99 and 449.99 for PS5 DE. I was told the price was because of the cooling system and the Controller. I don't know exactly what the details are on how and why. He also said what we already know that it is a staggered world wide release.

I would like to remind you this a rumor coming from 4th hand info. Though the person that told me this does work in the industry for a big 3rd Party studio. He joined my party and told me this while I was playing Marvel Avengers. Please don't shot the messenger!
 
I would like Sony to price theirs at £299 and £399, but am mentally prepared for £399 and £499 for the DE and Standard editions respectively.

I am also prepared to not be able get one till next year if there are shortages lol.

I totally agree. I'm assuming $499 and $399 though with MS putting the XSX up at $499.... I don't think it's IMPOSSIBLE that Sony does $399 for the disk version. Still think that unlikely and that it will be $499 but it's POSSIBLE.

I don't think Sony made a DE of their next-gen console available at launch because they wanted to undercut Microsoft with it. I think Sony made it because they needed to compete with Microsoft, and this was the only way they could get the cost down. DE $499 and Disc Version $599 is my prediction. You don't try and outpace PC hardware - especially storage - and not pay a premium for it.

A price of 449 for the DE would be a okay if you consider that you get the real next gen console just without disc drive.
But the disc version shouldn't be more expensive than the XSX. Not with the "more powerful" on the paper (most people will believe that).
 
300 bucks for an all digital console for entry level? This all but confirms 499 or more for the series X, unless they are unwilling to sell the S

I'm only passing on what I was told. I have no idea why the rumored prices are what they are rumored to be. I hope Sony gives official pricing SooN™️!

I also asked for HeisenbergFX4 HeisenbergFX4 to try to verify this info.
