There is a decent chance Spider-Man on PS4 outsold every Xbox 1st party game that released in 2018, 2019, and 2020, combined.

On Earth, Xbox will never win. You only have to ship some with Elon Musk in his Martian mission so you could have more Xboxes on Mars than PS.

Maybe, just maybe, most people buy consoles to play games? And PS4 has given people many great games to play in the past 4 years? Maybe that created good faith with consumers and now they want to buy a PS5?

I seriously don't know how someone couldn't be excited for a launch lineup that could have either Ratchet/Spiderman, Demon Souls, Kena, Astrobot mini game packed in already and few others I'm missing. Heck even GT looks far along and could be launch window. To me any combination of those is best launch lineup in generations imo.
 
What's with these rumors of PS5 being considerably more expensive/caught off-guard by XB pricing and now bringing it down?

Any truth whatsoever, or just more FUD? Cause I gotta say, I ain't buying it.

They would get clowned-on for even approaching the $599 USD price of the PS3 again, never mind going-over it. People still talk about that to this day, and some people out here saying 600 and 700? Come off it, mate.

There was also talk earlier on about Mark Cerny having to stick within a certain budget, and having to pick components that balance together really well within that price range, rather than just go all out, hence not having a larger hardrive size.

Now all of a sudden we're supposed to believe that Sony's box was gonna cost an arm and a leg? I just don't buy it.

It's FUD and bullshit journalism and guesses. Even with the PS4 price reveal it was stated tht Sony had two prices in mind dependant on the competitors pricing and that is probably true now, contingency plans are how companies stay on top. They both weren't playing cat and mouse for no reason. I'm sure Sony were playing with a few price points but it's not this FUD of Sony scrambling to bring down prices.

It is clear with the amount of games shown on an actual ps5 as opposed to the competitors who actually has been caught off guard and it sure hasn't been Sony. They are following sane game plan that made them successful this generation.

Just always remember almost most guesses by people on different forums as well as on here has been a 499 ps5. Also over a year ago when the Japanese exec said ps5 was a premium console. Sony was and obviously looking as always for the best of both worlds.

I mean, PS keeps pumping out console exclusives one after the other. Only this year we had FFVIIR, GoT, TLoU2, P5R, NiOH 2, SFV....

No need for conspiracy theories, PS takes care of it's customer and in exchange they want more.

Edit: On your other comment I'm not American so I'm not qualified to give an educated opinion on that unfortunately.

I've no doubt that Kena will not be the only title to miss launch. I admit I'm partial to Sony, but Halo was an indicator of things ahead on both fronts.

I expect both consoles to have rather lackluster launches in terms of software coming up.

I really hope I'm wrong and Sony is able to deliver things like Demon's Souls, Ratchet and Spidey for launch, but I'm quite wary about that.

The systems will sell out because of the hype for something new, but still.
