Do they also share production assets? Wouldn't you say the underwater corals in HFW look eeriely the same in Uncharted 4?

Will I see a Gran Turismo modelled car in London in a new Getaway game?

Do they keep shared database for these assets though?

I'm confused, since when a game NOT being in a event became rumour material? The game isn't even officially confirmed.

No idea which countries do not have access.

PS Now:
PlayStation Now is available in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

What I really should have stated I meant is:
People with access to both Playsation+ and Playstation now in their countries might consider subbing up as far as they can afford to and is stackable by account.... assuming... that the cost of PS+ will increase if they do roll these into one thing, and, assuming they'll grandfather in currently active PS+ accounts without additional cost.

Read my reply. It's not just textures and resolution. it will limit everything that can be rendered.
In the end, I think you'll keep believing it's a "development slider" to toggle between XSS/XSX and smart delivery will be enough.
"Let the games do the talking" or so they say.

MS had a competitive running horse and somehow attached a bandwagon to it with the "gamepass" logo in it.

If anything Sony is going to move streaming out of PSNow or otherwise re-brand to a download focused service.

They aren't going to lower the damn price to PS+ levels, that's as bad as the "MS is gonna give XBL Gold away free!" rumors.

So assuming this is true...what...double the cost of PS+ to $120 a year? I mean right now it's $60 for PSPlus and then $10 a month (I think) for PSNow? I guess they could go less than $120. What are your guesses, assuming this is true?

What troubles me about this is that people can more easily justify $40-$60 a year because a LOT of memberships are that much. When you get to $100 or even $120-$150 a year...that's a psychological barrier as well. Having that be their only option I don't think is a good idea. I see maybe this...

Take the free games and such out of current PSPlus and just make it $20 a year or even free just to game online, have trophies and have access to the PS Store. So the people who don't WANT streaming and features still have a super cheap option. Then have PSPlus as it is today with the free games plus access to what is PSNow today for the $100 or $120 per year.

I think that would be better than just rolling it all together and having only one, higher priced, product.

Yeah I'm thinking of unsubscribing from him. He is getting semi lazy and is just sucking up superchats. You have to romance me to keep me so I'm ending it today actually. Marlon got picked up by playstation and has been having real developers face 2 face on his show. Think I'll go back there.

• I don't think they'd have the current PS+ as free because it would kill a revenue stream.
• I'm not sure removing the free games from the membership will go over well because taking something away people are used to getting regardless of price point rarely is ever ignored.
• I'm not sure having PS Plus split into reduced price and higher price will work, just on the concept of adding another split to subscription services people have to keep track of if they have access to them and want multiple items. Right now, I like that it's just PS+ and PS Now, personally speaking.

This imply that everything is scaled perfectly with resolution. It's not.
There are geometry, there are GPGPU tasks, there are effects etc - those require computational power and to compensate deficiency of low-powered console are needed to be cut as well. And as the difference is big, cuts should be also substantial - this directly translated to visible drop in image quality, not just some resolution.
And most would not be happy with "1080p console with low setting", which is vastly different from just "1080p console (with implied high-ultra ps5/xsx settings)".
 
Hey BGs BGs hope all is well with you, would you say it's safe to be very excited and hyped for the Wednesday's event or should we temper our expectations? Or would this event be as good as June 11th Future of Gaming event? I enjoyed the June 11th event a lot, continue watch that event and the reactions to this day!

Anyone who thinks either of these companies are going to lower the price of their subscription services are out of their damn minds.

Playstations network services revenue was higher than all of Nintendo and Microsoft's gaming revenues. The vast majority of MS's gaming revenue is from Gold, Game Pass, and digital revenue.

Even if they "lower" the prices of specific pieces or bundle them together in a different way, the average spend per subscriber will be higher at the end of the day.
 
As far as the Microsoft rebuying bungie, isnt it amazing how whenever playstation is about to make a move or interest seems to be dying down in whatever announcement microsoft makes we always, and I mean ALWAYS, get a new "rumor" about some company or publisher theyre allegedly in talks to buy? First EA, then platinum games, then a studio close to sony, then a Japanese studio, then WB, and now bungie. Yall they have no intention of buying these companies, this is a distraction tactic to make you not notice that their current game out put is hot garbage and give you the false impression that the future has boundless potential when really its a subscription service with rotating 3rd parties that youve already played and 69 metacritic rated first party titles.

As much as I hate xbox fanboys and make fun of them, I actually admire loyalty. You don't have to give up on xbox or sell your games if that's your childhood and it means so much to you. You can have both.
 
MS wants Bungie back? I don't think their Chinese lords will allow that to happen. It would fix Halo though.

It's funny how Halo wants to become Destiny though, MS should have let Bungie do whatever they wanted to back then...

Blame MS marketing for that, they're practically saying image quality will be equal for both S/X. You can't tout best graphics and have crippled BC at the same time on the weakest console.

If there are managers at Sony who don't know everything about the event, don't expect me to know more. I have "knowledge" of two new announcements, but I don't know when they will be made. What is certain is that there is not enough time to teach it all in 40 minutes.

RAM is a good point. Faithless83 Faithless83 I didn't purposefully left it out, but since geordie is putting a light on it too, it's easier to combine a reaction.

The RAM might be an issue. We'll find out soon enough. Personally I think the amount of RAM is enough, not sure about the bandwidth.
The dev from id software already deleted his tweet. Could be for many reasons of course. Did his superiors tell him to delete it, or did he got new information that made his tweet look ridiculous. Who knows.
