You can still set up private lobbies during Splatfests.

Not everyone has 7 other people to set up and play with in a private lobby though. It's either that, an uneven room, or a room that may be too small for them to enjoy (3v3/2v2). Honestly, I still think being able to regularly play Ranked or Turf during a Splatfest should be permitted, because it feels like the majority of the game is locked behind it. =/

Who the hell would vote for Spongebob, especially with how unlikable he has become in later seasons?

Early SpongeBob had a lot of clever jokes that would come across as random for kids but adults would understand.

Nowadays it's only random.

Also the characters became worse. Patrick as example used to be naive and a slow thinker, nowadays he's only dumb.


There's more, but those are my two main complaints.

This really is the perfect theme. I wish I could go team Squidward, but I get why he's not included. He'd get 100% of the vote so there wouldn't be another team to play against. As it is, I'll have to rep my boy Broadway. Err... Patrick.

Not to mention, that Spongebob is now literally gullible and cries every other episode, Mr. Krabs now only wants money with no regards to anything else, Squidward is just "I hate Spongebob" and nothing else, Sandy is just science, and not to mention all of the faces, moments, and animations that seem like something out of a 4chan photoshop or creepy pasta.

Squidward's toenail, an episode of nothing but trying to keep a straight face that's incredibly unsettling, a cut ending where Squidward looks like the had a siamese quintuplet with a bunch of characters that looks like it came right out of a Binding of Isaac Spongebob boss mod, I can go on.
