I have a weird issue with my 6P. When I answer or initiate a call, the screen goes completely blank even without me holding it to my ear. Any suggestions?

You are probably using a screen protector that blocks the proximity sensor, a lot of the early ones do.

Got the phone, absolutely love it :-D

Although, minor hiccup when i'm on hangouts people say that my voice is too feeble, I have to shout for them to hear. It only happens with hangouts and not on regular calls.

Anyone else have this issue?

Just purcahsed a 64GB aluminum. It was out of stock yesterday so I was hoping to get it today but looks like I'll be getting it on Monday or Tuesday.

My Note 4 has been giving me some weird issues lately. Mainly TouchWiz error and I have to keep restarting.

Wanted to get a Note 5 but am excited to give a Nexus phone another spin. I had the Nexus 5.

I'm excited!

Just got my 64gb in graphite. I love the camera!

Got my 6P the other day and am loving it thus far. After switching back and forth between stock color gamut and sRGB mode, I'm feeling like the ideal color representation for the phone lies somewhere in between these two extremes. The stock colors blow out colors slightly beyond my liking. I can appreciate some nice saturation to make the screen pop, but reds and greens are practically neon with the stock colors.

sRGB looks to be more accurate, but even after using it for a full day it looks a little drab. Have there ever been tests done on the 6P's sRGB colors to see how accurate they actually are? I have a pretty keen eye for color accuracy, and they look ever so slightly muted to me.

Anandtech tested both modes.

Is there a non-official folio case for the 6P you guys would recommend? I've heard the official one is terrible and I'm looking for something.

Exactly what I was looking for. Seems like sRGB is pretty damn accurate as far as AMOLED screens are concerned. I think I'll stick with it. Thanks!
well the alternative is to use some ridiculously oversaturated shit that looks awful so.. not much choice there

Not liking the battery so far but am liking everything else.

I'm also in the honeymoon stage so I know that is affecting my battery use.

We'll see how this goes. I have until middle of January to return.

How many people are going caseless? I never use a case on my phone and don't want to use one on this, but man, its just too nice to cover up. I have the aluminum.

Really hope Verizon gets this soon. They have the regular 6 and have had other nexus devices in the past so I'm holding out hope :) have an upgrade waiting and ready.

Best buy and amazon are selling it now so maybe soon?

If you can you should buy it outright. It'll work on Verizon now(I'm sure you already know).

Verizon(I have them, too) will bloat the heck out of a 6P.

Been going case-less for almost two months now, looks too nice for a case/skin. Dropped it once lol but luckily no cracks.

If funds allow I'll buy one outright early next year. But if Verizon gets it then I'll be able to pick it up on the payment plan which is more appealing right now. Depends on which happens first :)

Yellow is fucked up on sRGB though. You're better off manually dropping saturation via a kernel tweaker, otherwise you'll accuracy in that color range.

Guys, recommend me an exchange app. Outlook is slow as molasses.

Nine. There literally aren't any other options worth considering, and, you're welcome.

I certainly understand.

I'd love to get one on their payment plan but I'm gonna buy it outright when I can. I hate what they did to the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 6.

Yeah. I had the galaxy nexus. It sucked always being behind in the releases and some of the bloatware was annoying but frankly it's no different than any other Verizon device I use and I've been with them since they bought out whatever dinky company I was with back in 2001.

That said. I'd prefer the clean version.aybr if they have a good amazon sale early next year I'll bite.

Wife ordered the 64gb Aluminum from Best Buy for me. I have a Note 4 I got when they released, but I am going to go ahead and keep it. I dropped the phone in the sink about 5 months after having it and took it to a shop and shockingly, it had no water damage. The strip did turn from white to pink though, so I doubt anyone would take the phone as a trade in nor could I sell it. Note 4 hasn’t giving me one problem though.

I should have the phone tomorrow, but if it requires a signature, no one will be home to sign for it.

I'm sorry but the wireless capabilities of this phone are garbage. I posted before about Bluetooth issues and people claimed they didn't have the same. These issues are worse than ever.

I have two home Bluetooth speakers (Marshall Stanmore and UE Boom), two cars that I use Bluetooth with, an LG G Watch, and FitBit Charge HR. It works with all devices sometimes and with none at other times.

I will be talking on the phone in my car (Audi A5) and a minute into the conversation it drops to the headset over and over. On my car's Bluetooth setup you can see the phone keeps disconnecting intermittently.

My phone will not connect with the G Watch for hours on end and then suddenly I will get 15 notifications back to back to back.

My phone will not connect to the Bluetooth speakers at all just randomly.

Often my phone just stops sending text messages at all or when I come home will not connect to my WiFi. I had similar problems with my Nexus 6 but not nearly as bad. The only way to "fix" both devices is to restart the phone and then everything works perfectly ... until it doesn't. Google is really shit at wireless drivers or something. I also have a Samsung Note 4 and OnePlus One and have never had any of these issues with those phones.

Before you say you haven't had these issues a quick Google search will show tons of people having three exact same problems with Bluetooth on the N6P. It is getting so frustrating I think I'm going to have to change phones because I can't just be unable to answer a fucking work phone call just because I'm in the car. Fix this shit Google!

Exchange it?

It's a problem with marshmallow not my N6P. Since updating my N6 I have the same issues (it was flaky before and sometimes wouldn't connect but now it just constantly drops connection mid call). My friend had the same issue with his N6P.

I've been connected to my A4 no problems. No dropped calls or anything.

I have never had a pairing issue across different car brands, stereos, earbuds, computers, speakers(including UE Boom) on my 6P. Never had it drop out except at the expected distance(30ft ish)

Exchange it

I don't have these issues with my 6P or 5X or N6.

I've had the Bluetooth problem too. Music and phone calls work OK, but the navigation voice refuses to work smoothly. It'll go like this... "in one mile take" and then it cuts off. Makes it useless.

I came from a Galaxy Note 2 which was flawless.

To be fair, Bluetooth has always been garbage. So I believe anyone when they say they have bt issues.

Just got paid so I'm about to buy the phone from Google...the 32GB Aluminum version with Google Protect. That comes to around $935. Its worth it...right GAF? Right?
