Come join off-topic. We've been talking about this for sometime now
we got that new news in a new thread over here -> http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=629236
pics, renders, comparisions, a video, specs, etc...
so i was browsing the Nexus 7 XDA forum and saw that someone made a mod to enable Miracast and it seems to work... nice!
Just wanted to bump this to report a much improved Nexus 7 2012 after the 4.3 OTA update. I didn't seem to have as big of problems as a lot of people regarding lag, but even still, the 4.3 update has really made a difference. The experience in general is night and day, no more pauses when waking the device or when switching between apps. The battery life is also much improved.
By the way, for the impatient few like me, clearing the Google Services Framework data twice allowed my device to detect the update.

It all makes sense now - apparently they implemented Trim in 4.3. No wonder some peoples' Nexus 7s would slow down and others wouldn't. If you were a heavy downloader/deleter of files the storage would just get slower and slower and slower.

why not just install it manually?
add me to the "4.3 fixed my n7" camp
thing ran like fucking garbage on 4.2, since the update it's back to running the way it did at launch
I keep getting the 4.3 update OTA but every time it "errors" out on the install screen.
So frustrating.
If any system files are modified, it will fail. Just rooting wouldn't cause it, but if you used a custom kernel it would.I keep getting the 4.3 update OTA but every time it "errors" out on the install screen.
