Sure there were people who did. The Pats should have lost at least 2-3 games that season, one against A.J. freakin' Feeley led Eagles.

Only game I remember was the Ravens game they should've lost. I do remember the Giants putting up a fight in the last game of the season, but I still don't think many people gave them a shot at winning in the Superbowl.

Remember when you thought the Steelers would win the Super Bowl last year?

That was humorous.
To be fair, Bionic knew that they had no chance once the A God cancer patient story surfaced. If A God could do that, what would he manage against an overrated "safety" (can you be a safety if you can't cover? I'm sure the woman he kicked could have done better) and an aging defense?

Mike Wallace is one game away from tying the NFL record for consecutive games with one catch of 40 yards. That game will be against the Pats who have the 2nd worst pass defense in the league.

Is it safe to say that along with Steelers domination this is another thing we are all positive is going to happen?

Wallace will have a 38 yard catch

We would have won the Superbowl if Pouncey and Aaron Smith and Polamalu were healthy, if your defense would have had the courtesy to get a few more players injured earlier in the first half when we were struggling instead of later when it didn't matter so much, if Mendenhall doesn't fumble the ball, if Roethlisberger makes those 3 or 4 throws he fucked up that he normally makes, and if there was a God*.

So we were close and I stand by my prediction. My prediction was a lot closer to the truth than the Packers fan who said that Green Bay was a better place to live than NYC. Wisconsin edumucation in action!

They will lose in the playoffs and will rest starters when they win the NFC. So no way are they getting to 19-0.

I will remind you that you also predicted that Kevin Kolb was Jesus come back to life and that McNabb was fat and washed up. So you are only batting .500 in your predictions (I will leave it up in the air as to which one you got right and which one you got wrong).

Jesus was doubted, put down, and eventually killed by the locals, just like the Cards fans are down on Kolb and ready to run him out of town/kill him. Even though I never said Kolb was Jesus the parallels are striking.

Jesus was said to turn wine into water.

Kolb is only famous for turning gold (Fitz) into shit.

ChanHuk said:
I think the worst part of the Kolb trade is that they gave him an extension before he even played a down for them.

That is just money though, I would think the worst part for the Cards would be to give up a pro bowl CB and a 2nd round pick.

Totally. If the Steelers had scored more points, man, I guaranty they would have won. So close!

Also an update for Saints fans:

May be a good time to add Ivory for any fantasy RB needy folks.
Ivory is going to run roughshod over the Rams.

Anyway, my personal NFL hate-list

1. Falcons
2. Cowboys
3. Bucs
4. 49ers
5. Panthers
and a special slot for the vikings for actually signing Brett Favre as well as other atrocities.

Didn't PHI pick some backup S with that pick?

The deal is fine for Arizona, but unfortunately they traded for Kolb and not a real NFL QB.

Well that was the cost to get him, they could've easily let him play a couple games and then give him an extension or tag him at the end of the year. Depending on how Palmer plays the rest of the year. The worst trades this season has been Palmer, Kolb, and Julio Jones.

I heard if the fight between Rodgers and that 70 year old woman with terminal stomach cancer had gone another 2 minutes he would have been concussed and unable to play in the Superbowl.

It truly is a game of inches.*

* Except when the Steelers are defending receivers over the middle of the field, then it is a game of at least 5-10 yards.

Alternatively, if the Packers just scored less they would have won as well.

His logic is sound, I'll give him that.

Hitch your wagon to abject garbage like Pololamalolu and expect to get stomped.

2012 2nd round pick. Eagles definitely got a good deal out of Kolb.

The trade happened this off season, so the pick the Eagles got is for next years draft.

That is going too far. He has lost a step recently due to age and injury, but in his prime he was one of the best defenders I have ever seen. And unlike Clay Matthews his brilliance was not the product of modern chemistry.

His fingertip INT against the Chargers is one of the greatest plays I have ever seen.

He's never been more than a 2-deep/cloud linebacker-disguised-as-safety. Great hands, though. Too bad he can only play over the top.

The dick-riding has begun.

I know conventional wisdom says otherwise, I am fairly confident that the Steelers will take down the Pats this weekend. Just a feeling; Always bet on the team with the better defense.
:lol Steelers have a shit defense this year.

They do have a better defense than the Pats, but that is like saying you have a bigger penis than Tom Brady. Hard not to be bigger/better than zero.

Nah he used to be great at covering the middle and deep ball. Quarterbacks used to actively avoid his side of the field.

The only negative I could say about him when he was younger is that he was injury prone (and still is).

I honestly think if the Saints didn't fumble the ball early in the Green Bay game they probably would have won. Fucking Colston.

Don't worry they'll have a chance to get beat in a completely different way next time. I'm betting on a game ending TAINT by Brees in the Championship Game.

Your QB is saving up his taints for the playoffs.
Brees is getting his out of the way now.

The Packers will probably trail off near the end of the season just like the Pats did. Hell they've hardly looked invincible at times this season. They struggled against Cam.

Rodgers has never thrown INTs at any time. Brees loves doing it.

At least make it something realistic like a strip sack fumble to end the game in OT.

:(

That's why the comparison is invalid. They're not playing perfect, dominating football, albeit nobody else in the NFL is close. They have a chance to get much better.

levious

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.

Even though the Pats secondary is horrible, historically the Steelers are incapable of slaying the demon and his spawn.

Truly, the demon will not be slain until the Super Bowl by our savior Aaron Rodgers.

edit: to clarify, I don't expect a lot of fight from Pittsburgh much less a pass of 40 yards.

Should be an interesting game for a while though!

Most would say it was garbage time last year, but our defense was just so bad... he lit us up all throughout the 4th quarter.

Ughh no... I'm just hearing this now. Normally first thing I do is check Mike Reiss twitter to get all the reports, but I didn't expect any new developments today.... guess I was wrong. I can't for the life of me understand this.
That shit was all garbage time. Just got back from school. I no longer have any Idea what the fuck Belichick is doing with this defense. They need someone to tell him when to stop. This shit is ridiculous. None of his ideas or anything he has implemented has worked in a few years.

Can't wait to see Ivory on the field, he was a beast last year before injury. Hopefully Carmichael calls a good game like last week.
My hate list is similar.
1. Failclowns, hate them, hard to like former plyer that play for the Morton A, Joe H, Bobby H etc.
2. Bucs have risen up this list.
3.Vikings lost alot of games , including 1999 playoff game.
4. 49ers greatest 4 LBers to play together, and they still owned us.
5. Cowboys/Eagles ****em both

Ivory likely won't even play this weekend fellas, and even if he suits up, will have very limited snaps to Thomas and Sproles.
I think he will get a few carries, supposedly he has been ready for a few weeks, but this is the first week he was able to get off the puplist.

Not a bad problem to have really.
I would be ok with that.
Sproles is already on pace to have a better year than his best at San diego.
