Madden curse in full effect now people. Peyton Hillis once again reinjured his hamstring in practice today, likely to miss his 3rd straight and 4th total game of 8 so far this season.

His season is a couple weeks away from being a complete loss.

John Fox only has John Fox to blame for his meltdown in Carolina. He didn't take the Cardinals seriously in a game they should have won.

Agreed. And why he had so much faith in Delhomme I will never understand.

Fox needed to take some times off or if anything step back and become the D coordinator for the Eagles. Why he jumped from one big mess in Carolina to another big mess Denver is beyond me.

EDIT: Careful guys with the transformers talks. Any second now the Packers fans will come to tell us how its destroying the thread.

Who should I sit/start in fantasy bot?

Back to football...

MikeGarafolo Mike Garafolo
Coughlin says DE Jason Pierre-Paul is experiencing headaches and is being tested for a possible concussion. #nyg
One of the biggest game of the season coming up and now we might not have JPP either.

Giants New York Giants
#giants coach coughlin: baas was feeling better. Nicks is also improving. He is still day to day

Bradshaw?

MikeGarafolo Mike Garafolo
RB Ahmad Bradshaw will have to improve in order to be a game-time decision, Coughlin said. #nyg

As to the status for the game:

Giants New York Giants
Prince is questionable. Baas is doubtful. Bradshaw and nicks also doubtful. Andrews is out and jpierre-paul is questionable

So there's still hope for JPP to play at least. Baas, Bradshaw and Nicks are all but out. Prince is traveling with the team but Coughlin says he is not clear whether he will play or not.

Not that I thought we would win this anyway, but these injuries aren't making it any easier.

For folks who have been to Heinz Field...what are some must do things while I'm out there?

Right now I've got "Get food from Primanti Brothers" and that's it :lol

While you're catering to my requests, can you pull up Bens record in the Super Bowl vs the Packers?

totally missed it on the last page. Thanks. On my phone.

I'm making my first trip to Mecca this year. I'm going to have to ask for must see things from Packers GAF when the date gets closer.

Don't worry bionic, I'll make sure I work out extra in advance so I can handle all the desperate ugly fatties who will be landing in my lap.

I'm partial to Peppi's Sandwich Shop, personally. The Roethlisberger (I think they call it the #7 now) is incredible. I've got friends in the area that I stay with from time to time and that sandwich is one of the things I most look forward to.

Pittsburgh in general is a great place to walk around and just check out some of the shops in the city, etc.

I'll check that out as well, thanks man.

Sigh AJ not playing against the Browns this weekend. I'd just sit him against the Bucs at this point too. Then he should be fully healed after the bye... You would think :/

Winnable games without him imo.

You should already be there. Post your pic of bald shaved head. Otherwise we do not believe.

i know i've already said this, but the best part is his little eye roll and exasperated huffiness, like ohmigod rite

I think it shows he freaking cares like many who are laughing on the sideline. It was a big moment in game that was big for both teams.

I am also pretty sure we have said worse in less situations.

They testing him for concussion, if he has one he's out for this game, team is fucking curse went into the bye injured, came out of the bye healthy play the one game and we are worst than when we went into the bye...

Yeah. I'm still furious how he refused to have Gamble shadow Fitzgerald and instead only let him play one side of the field. The Cards just motioned Fitz to the other side or into the slot and feasted on Ken Lucas and Richard Marshall.

Yea, the browns definitely. Just run screens all day, their secondary is sad. Up front though, pretty decent.

Bucs? Hard to say. I would think its winnable if Andre plays. The Bucs could get all Youngry on us and then what? Who will we make our focus of attack?

*insert lame Josh Freeman Taco Bell joke here*

Holy shit work has been busy. I'm not getting adequate time to get on here and talk about how badly Baltimore is going beat Pittsburgh. But I do expect to see alot of these type of hits.

Forbes ranks the best and worst owners in the NFL according to revenue growth, team records in the past five years and more (revenue being key).

http://www.forbes.com/sites/briansolomon/2011/11/02/the-best-and-worst-nfl-owners/

1. New York Giants/John Mara and Steve Tisch: Since they took over control of the New York Giants in 2006 from their fathers, John Mara and Steve Tisch have presided over 33 percent growth in the value of their team – best in the NFL. The 2010 opening of MetLife Stadium helped them rack up a 21 percent bump in revenue last year, the latest achievement for an ownership duo that also lifted the Lombardi Trophy in 2007 for the organization’s third Super Bowl victory.

Based on their team’s performance on the field and financial growth off of it, the Mara and Tisch families are the best owners in the NFL, by Forbes’ estimation. To come up with our list, we looked at teams’ change in franchise value and win percentages (including a bump for playoff and Super Bowl victories) over the last five years. Each factor accounts for half of their rank.

Rounding out the top 5:

2. New England Patriots/Robert Kraft: New England’s gate receipts were second-highest in the NFL in 2010 at $93 million, and by Forbes’ appraisal, the team’s value has increased 17% over the past five years.

3. Indianapolis Colts/Jim Irsay: The team pays just $250,000 a year in rent on the three-year-old Lucas Oil Stadium, while the city of Indianapolis covers all operating and maintenance expenses. The deal allows Irsay to keep one of the lowest debt percentages in the league.

4. Green Bay Packers/100k Shareholders: The franchise is based in by far the smallest NFL city, but still has one of the highest brand management values in the league at $85 million. The team’s value has risen 17% over the past five years.

5. Cowboys/Jerry Jones: Despite no recent postseason success, the Cowboys opened a $1.3 billion new stadium in 2010 – the most expensive ever. The iconic blue star represents the most valuable team in American sports, a title the Cowboys hold over the New York Yankees.

--------------------------------

So who's the worst owner in the NFL by Forbes estimation?

Detroit Lions/William Clay Ford Sr: Known for both losing seasons and losing money. Not only did the Lions post the first 0-16 season in NFL history in 2008, the value of the franchise dropped 3 percent over the last five years. Detroit was also the only team in the NFL to lose money in 2010.

Runner-Up:

Oakland Raiders/Al Davis: His Oakland Raiders have won only 30 percent of their games over the last five seasons, and posted the lowest revenues in the league in 2010.

Other folks in the worst category:

Buffalo Bills/Ralph Wilson Jr.

Cleveland Browns/Randy Lerner
Cincinnati Bengals/Mike Brown

Tom Benson at #8. Respectable. The value of the team will continue to grow as well.

I feel bad for Browns fans.
I wasn't that angry when they kicked our ass in 2010.
You guys deserve a break.
We got ours in 2009. Even if it never happens again, IT HAPPENED.
So keep the faith, because really, that's all you got at this point.

Fantasy Football question:

Ben Roethlisberger vs. Baltimore
Carson Palmer vs. Denver

So torn. With no DMC you'd think OAK leans more towards the pass, plus Denver is a joke. However Ben is going to pass 40+ times and you'd think he wants revenge. Also our league penalizes QBs for being sacked.

That's tough. I think Palmer is a bit of a wildcard, because you don't know what he is going to bring to the table. Plus, Oaklands receivers don't really scare anymore, with the exception of Jacoby Ford. Both of these choices are a feast or famine type thing though.

Eh, I'll play Roffles and hope he stays upright.

Oh wow, turns out Hillis didn't just aggravate his hamstring, looks like it might be full blown now. Limping around the facility with a full wrap around it. Man alive, the fantasy trade I made to get him at the start of the season couldn't possibly get any worse right now for me.

On the plus side, looks like Bradshaw won't in fact play this weekend, making Jacobs a nice waiver snag.

Crazy considering how most people would have placed him near-last before 2006. Getting a franchise QB does wonders for your reputation...
