It's both. They benefit from getting lopsided calls and getting lopsided non calls. Really hard to beat a team with refs in their pocket. It isnāt the number of calls, it is when they happen.

Itās gotten so bad the people calling the games are calling it out.
So did the booth announcers.
Can we stop littering this thread with garbage ?
The cheating is the biggest story in sports. This is Cheats Watergate and you want to silence the people? Can we stop littering this thread with garbage ?
I stopped watching the NBA for more than a decade after they rigged the 2003 playoffs by giving the Lakers more free throws so theyād go to the finals over the Kings (because of ratings). The cheating is the biggest story in sports. This is Cheats Watergate and you want to silence the people?
No.
I've watched a number of Tim Donaghy interviews and I'm convinced all the leagues are rigged. It's too easy to do with too much money involved.I stopped watching the NBA for more than a decade after they rigged the 2003 playoffs by giving the Lakers more free throws so theyād go to the finals over the Kings (because of ratings).
Iām feeling the exact same way about the NFL now. No one can win the Super Bowl as long as Goodell can get his Taylor Swift ratings.
U kno ur onto something when manabyte is on ur sideThe cheating is the biggest story in sports. This is Cheats Watergate and you want to silence the people?
No.
One of the refs who worked that series wrote a book about it and literally said NY called the refs and told them to give the Lakers as many free throws as they needed to beat the Kings so theyād go to the finals because it would get more ratings. That Lakers series was insane too. They know most fans are idiots.
Brought to you by the parlays of,To think i stopped watching football/soccer and started watching NFL some years ago because of the dodgy results/games and here i am watching the same crap unfold.
WTF US, i thought that at least in this sort of stuff you were better than us. Sure i've seen some dodgy calls here and there, but this blatant crap on the aFC championship game?

then bet the house on the chiefs???I've watched a number of Tim Donaghy interviews and I'm convinced all the leagues are rigged. It's too easy to do with too much money involved.

With the help of the refs.Give mahomes the same opportunity and he is taking it every time.
What exactly are we crying about ? The Allen turnover on downs? I can help you understand it if you wantTo think i stopped watching football/soccer and started watching NFL some years ago because of the dodgy results/games and here i am watching the same crap unfold.

You mean the turnover on downs that was called a first down by the ref who could actually see the ball but was overturned by the ref on the Chiefs sideline who couldnāt see the ball? What exactly are we crying about ? The Allen turnover on downs? I can help you understand it if you want
Why would I bet on a team when the house can change the rules at a moments notice? Completely illogical.then bet the house on the chiefs???
Wasn't the initial call that he was short? And under review not clear enough to overturn? I still haven't seen a clear still of Allen holding the ball past the line, so anyone saying some part time geriatric guy standing 20 feet away should be able to make that call accurately every time is just willfully stupid franklyYou mean the turnover on downs that was called a first down by the ref who could actually see the ball but was overturned by the ref on the Chiefs sideline who couldnāt see the ball?
Cheating.
So it's like the Trump election rigging crying with zero proof until he wins then it's rigged in his favor, or its no longer rigged, or maybe it's still rigged but he's just that good, and just going with whatever narrative you like to confirm your worldviewWhy would I bet on a team when the house can change the rules at a moments notice? Completely illogical.
I love how we have replay and numbers that show a long term trend of Cheats bias but we're not allowed to question a game that's so easily rigged. Apparently, you're a deplorable if you question the modern God NFL.So it's like the Trump election rigging crying with zero proof until he wins then it's rigged in his favor, or its no longer rigged, or maybe it's still rigged but he's just that good, and just going with whatever narrative you like to confirm your worldview
The Bills were ahead by a point. That offsides wouldāve given the Chiefs a 3rd and 5 instead of 3rd and 15. Are you telling me that it didnāt matter to them when they are trailing? This gets thrown out thrown out there again and again. It isnāt the fact that the calls/no calls are not even. Obviously the refs arenāt going to see everything.
BUT the fact is the Chiefs get the calls to go their way when it matters 100% of the time.
It isnāt the number of calls, it is when they happen.
Couple that with the fact that Mahomes has a bubble around him since he is the mascot for a major sponsor and you have lopsided officiating. You canāt even form tackle him. Case in point the unnecessary roughness in the end zone.
itās hard to beat a team when they have the built in safety valve of having a QB that can just scramble off tackle and not even worry about taking a hit. Bro gets like 4 extra yards every run because of it. You can see the defenders break down and then hesitate.
Itās gotten so bad the people calling the games are calling it out.
How naive of you.I stopped watching the NBA for more than a decade after they rigged the 2003 playoffs by giving the Lakers more free throws so theyād go to the finals over the Kings (because of ratings).

Just now? You guys must be new to the NFL or the betting scene. The phrase āVegas calledā has been around since forever. My dad used to place bets back in the 90s and he would always say this.So there's a reason the NFL is classified as an entertainment league instead of a sports league, so they can kind of throw their hands up in the air at this stuff.
Let me preface this by saying the Bills had a chance to drive down and win the game, so I'm not necessarily saying there was any shenanigans at play in this game, but here is how I think it truly works in the NFL. The players and coaches go out there and are legitimately trying to win the games, there is no "script" so to speak with that part of the game. What I do think happens is the NFL tells the officials in a round about way, in certain situations to give certain teams, not necessarily the Chiefs, a better chance to win. Maybe Fan Duel takes a bet where if said bet were to not pay out they would make untold millions of dollars. They let the NFL know about this, so the officials will call the game a certain way (It's not a guarantee, but it tips the odds in Fan Duels favor and over the course of a season and millions of bets they make a shit ton of money) . I'm very certain this happens in the regular season. Whether or not it happens in the playoffs, I have no idea.
The worse things to happen to the integrity of the NFL was for them to get in bed with all these gambling companies. I think eventually things will come to light. It may take a 10-15 years, but someone will slip eventually.
Looks like copium levels has reached new heights where we have to resort to political cartoons

Definitely the refs that made Allen's 7ft tall 300lbs tush pushing bigass fail to convert 1 yard downs in a convincing fashion multiple times
In other words...

Why couldnāt the Pats 3-peat after being carried by the refs and their bs made up tuck rule?
