Tebow's network job will be short lived as the first move McDaniels will make as the new Cleveland HC will be to sign Tebow to be their starting QB.

Duh.

Oh, I said ealier that Ray Rice was a problem, along with his contract. I wished we traded him after last season, we're in real trouble with him, because he has no value. All of your reasons could be true, although they never really came out and said he was hurt, but I watched him all year and he just looked old. No burst through the line or out of cuts, he'd go down on light contact which in the past would have been nothing.

My two theories....he got fat, which slowed him down. I have no facts other than he looked fat. Second theory, he just had a baby, and if you've had a baby, you know it can affect your work.

:jnc

That was a pretty huge drop off.

Pretty sure him and Trent Truck had identical numbers this yr. Good luck replacing him!

Is there a YouTube link for this?

They keep playing it on NFLN, it's pretty funny.

Niner offense seems worse to me than last year. Packers game will be telling. Maybe the Niners have been holding back and will shred them again but they seem to have Kaep on a leash (the Niners coaches, I mean).

Our offensive line in pass protection has been awful this year. It will be the reason we lose in the playoffs... Whether it's this week or otherwise

Kaepernick isn't really that far behind Cam. He's probably more accurate when he actually throws the ball, but Cam is better with his reads. They are more or less equal as runners, although again, Cam picks his spots and moves the chains better. I don't want to have anything to do with 49ers in the playoffs.

Before the Pats game Rice flat out said he's been playing injured all year in an interview. You don't fall off like that out of nowhere.

Trouble in Jets paradise?

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 49s

From @KimJonesSports and me: #Jets coach Rex Ryan not getting the long-term extension he covets. Team brass will only give him 1-year deal.

Looks like he's basically accepted the fact that he's only getting a one year extension at this point.

How much of that do you think is on Greg Roman? He's a rumored candidate for our HC job. I remember your offense pissing me off when we played you guys twice because I didn't understand how you were throwing the ball and running effectively relative to your talent. It always seemed like you guys would convert on 3rd downs or when it mattered most.

Also a little off topic but I'm watching Real Sports on HBO and I had no idea Andrea Kremer is journalist on the show. For those who don't remember Andrea Kraemer, she gave one of the most epic eye fucks in history to Tom Brady:

The Google/Youtube and NFL ninjas have done a great job of taking the original video down though.

Please take Roman. I'll never make fun of the Lions again I promise.

Super Bowl will be the Andy Reid Bowl. Eagles and Chiefs
i would love this, only if the chiefs won.

Kubiak is also an option in Tampa.
lol

Reading this pisses you off about what they are doing to Bowles. Browns are also interviewing him
the rule is stupid. Owners are going to hire who they think is the best option, forcing them to interview a minority is embarrassing for the minorities and the organization. If the owners are racist/prejudice they're still not going to hire a minority, but they are also limiting their own options by doing that.

However I will say, I have heard talk that no one will hire Rob Ryan because of his hair, or some other guy(forget his name) black guy with corn rows, because well, he has corn rows. My thoughts are who cares, you don't care when your players are all tattooed up looking like gangsters and thugs.

Ray Horton, Browns DC. He cut the rows though. Was my second choice for HC.

But now he is out of a job.....hmmmmmmmmmm. SEND THE JET BOB!

Pretty sure that one is Ray Horton. But I've also heard he's very passionate which turns off some people.

Roman is frustrating. Yesterday's game is a perfect example. First quarter we embarrassed one of the best defenses in the league. Romans play calling was brilliant. Then the 2nd and 3rd quarters happen. It's week to week drive to drive with this dude. I don't hate roman but he has lulls is his play calling that are unacceptable

Kubiak being an 'option' in Tampa is just the organization covering their anti-rooney rule obligations.

The job is Lovie's.

interesting, thanks. I like that he says they change the offensive game plan based on what the defense is doing. I know i know this sounds basic to many of you, but after you've heard the phrase "well we're just trying to take what the defense gives us" 100 million times you're ready to stab someone. Big difference from "well we're going to run our offense, doesn't matter what the defense does we're going to run it and the players just need to execute."

Very. He took missing out on the AZ job pretty hard and I think had some comments that coaches usually don't make publicly. It's just really down to getting black coaches on the offensive side of the ball. That's what NFL teams are hiring

It would also help if guys like Shaw and Sumlin would leave college for the NFL, but why would they? The good college jobs are better than most NFL jobs

Anti-Kubiak was my impression.

Laurence Holmes has some of the best access of any Bears insider. He posted his thoughts about the game yesterday with some inside info:

http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2013/12/30/24-hours-later-laurence-holmes-breaks-down-bears-packers-2/

Mel Tucker made a point to try and console Chris Conte in the locker room. Conte was still visibly upset after the last minute gaffe. His eyes were red. Tucker gave him a hug, Conte packed up his stuff and left the locker room without talking about what happened. That’s disappointing. The rest of his DB teammates had to answer for him and that’s not fair. Part of being a professional is answering the questions and it’s never as bad as players think it is.

:jnc

Not only does Conte suck, but he is also a pouty bittcccccchhhhhhhhh. Won't miss you off the team!

I can rest easy knowing that the Hawks won't have to play this week, and won't have to travel at all. I will enjoy watching the Packers and Eagles get decimated next week.

That said, even though the offseason hasn't officially started for us yet, I do have a few offseason questions I want answered:

1. Are the Seahawks DB's a bunch of cheaters, or is the NFL's drug policy enforcement as incompetent as it seems?

2. Will Darrell Bevel ever acknowledge the fact that offenses are most successful when they utilize the intermediate passing game?

3. Is every Black player (namely QB's) required to have a wife who A) looks like she walked out of an Atlanta strip club, or B) looks like an extra on the set of a Baywatch spoof-porno, just so they don't be considered as "immature", or even gay?

4. Considering all the awkward hi-five moments, does anybody on the Patriots team even like Tom Brady?

5. Will the Brownies' new management channel their inner Dan Snyder?

6. Speaking of Snyder, does he go to weekly OA (Owners Anonymous) meetings (led by Jerry Jones, and attended by Shadid Khan, Stephen Ross, Ralph Wilson, Woody Johnson, William Clay Ford Sr, & Ziggy Wilf), where all the owners tell themselves that they don't suck hard?

7. Who will be considered next year's Nick Foles? My money is on Ryan Mallett...
