This could very well be the dumbest sports scandal in recent history. All these histrionics for naught. Just boosting the NFL awareness. Roger is secretly hoping he can get some air time on Al-Jazeera.

The universe does not want me to purchase Destiny. I tried PSN, couldn't get it process. I just purchased a digital code from Amazon and now it's stuck on a load screen.

Edit: Oh great, now it says I just have to wait for the email.
 
Is the nflpa on the pocket of the league or are they smart by not releasing any statements?

Reminds me of a west wing episode.

I've decided to wait and possibly get it used cheap. Reading reviews you can beat the initial game in less than 15 hours.

Kids in my part of town all have OCD and will trade thatshit in quick.

Damned if they do either way:
Support the league and get all the bad PR on them as well
Support Rice and they condone domestic violence.

15 hours is all the time I have for games anymore. The money isn't an issue. Finally downloading now.

Little late with this news, but the Cowboys' weakside linebacker Justin Durant is out for 3-4 weeks.

Dallas is going to give rookie Anthony Hitchens a shot first, he took first team reps at Will in today's practice. I am not a really a fan of Hitchens, he plays like a rookie (always a little slow or a little late) and he is a poor tackler.

The Cowboys picked up former Seattle Seahawk Korey Toomer. Toomer played Sam for the Seahawks, but it seems he has position flex. Toomer is extremely athletic, but more importantly he has great instincts. I watched preseason games of both Toomer and Hitchens, and it is night and day. Toomer has great technique when handling and shedding blocks, he also maintains his balance when taking on blockers. He is a solid tackler, I linked a video (pass: dominate) earlier that has Pete Carroll breaking down tackling techniques (and drills) that he teaches his own players, and the way Toomer tackles is textbook. Toomer looks natural when dropping into zones, has great awareness, rarely did I see him out of position. He also has great range sideline to sideline and the speed to close.

I am generally excited to see Toomer play. I think he will eventually be a starter for the Cowboys (hopefully on the weakside). Sucks that it had to take an injury for him to get an opportunity, but that is the way it goes sometimes.

Why does everyone think pointing out the hypocrisy of the leagues punishment mean you support DV? I don't support murder but I'm against the death penalty no matter what the crime is.

Anyway last I saw they are still waiting on an explanation on the indefinite suspension instead of the 6 games for a 1st time offense which is required as part of the cba.
 
Its amazing that all the negative news is talked about but not great stories like Devon still and his jersey sales and Sean Payton buying 100 of them to support his daughter.
Saints also signed Jim Kellys get well card as a team.
i guess good news doesnt get the hits though.

NFLPA probably won't touch it until after the season and this mostly blows over, then try to get him reinstated for 2015.

I'm kinda bummed the Texans aren't going to get the chance to see what it's like to play against Shoob.

I mean, he was always playing against them, but still...
