They should fire him right now. They could have knelt twice and pinned them inside the 20 and easily won the game. Even with giving up massive chunks of yards to Golden Tate immediately there just wouldn't be time. How the fuck are you still handing off with your garbage run game and then to fucking pass on 3rd down instead of taking 40 seconds off the clock. Falcons are worthless lol

That's a pretty bullshit ending, you should be able to decline delay of game especially in a situation like that where the entire play was executed normally and the whistle didn't even happen until after the kick.

I don't even know how Detroit won after that ending. Why did they run it up the middle twice, kneel and risk losing the game on a spike that could have been messed up just to get the clock down to 4 seconds?
So they didn't have to risk a kick to Devin Hester, probably.

Stafford is so money in close games ... as long as the opponent has a losing record

It wasn't even a close game though! We were down 21-3! Crazy catches by Tate and TCORiddick on Stafford overthrows somehow turned this back into a game, and then the Lions wonk-factor that normally leads to the classic "same old Lions" loss somehow backfired and worked in our favor. Stafford himself didn't actually have a lot to do with this.

The call on third down was great. You get the ball into ostensibly the best player on your team in what should be a fucking simple pitch and catch.

Julio Jones is a mental midget. Sure Smith should've known that but still if you can't count on your best player you have no business winning anyway.

For as bad as the Jets are the falcons are much worse.

They just don't get any attention from the media because they have 7 fans.

Didn't they start off 6-2 last year

With the easiest second half schedule in the league and 2 wins needed to make the playoffs

And finish 7-9

And now they're starting off 6-2 again

5-3 at this point last year. The last time we was 6-2 was 2011 when we made the playoffs

6-2 without Megatron for last three games. Bye week time to get healthy. This is too perfect.
Fairley may miss some time though with his injury. Hope it's not too serious

5-3 last year.

We'll get Megatron, Bush, Ebron, and Fauria back after the bye. And our second round draft pick, Van Noy. No excuses.

The worst thing that happened to the Falcons was losing to Green Bay in the 2010 playoffs. The Falcons didn't just lose, we got our asses kicked. The problem is it sent Dimitroff into an offense fury with signings. Julio Jones being the main one. We could of went defense in 2013 but he had to pick up Steven Jackson instead. He didn't really address the o-line much either. We got starters on both sides of the ball who wouldn't even be a 3rd stringer on any other team and were trotting them out as starters. Maybe NFL needs regulation. Falcons aren't an NFL team.

its really sad because the defense didn't even force the error.
maybe stafford should come in during the 4th quarter as a closer. he sure doesn't play the first 3 quarters

They showed it from an angle behind Stafford which showed exactly what he was looking at and it's inexplicable, there is no Falcons jersey anywhere near the defender. It honestly looks like he saw the defender and thought it was one of his receivers.

Any "envy" directed toward Wilson in the locker room is more aligned with quarterback dynamics, including the fact the star quarterback has major marketing endorsements, sources said.

Wilson was asked by the organization if he could limit some of his endorsements but they were all filmed during the offseason and his CBA-driven base salary of $662,000 is about half of what backup Tarvaris Jackson makes.

Some of Wilson's income footed the bill to fly his receivers to California for offseason workouts when they were not allowed on facility grounds. Otherwise, in-season, team sources said that he's all football, except for the time he spends at Seattle's Children Hospital on Tuesdays. The so-called divided locker room is very much overstated, sources said.

-Participate in 24 hour video gaming marathon
-Go to bed a half hour before Falcons game starts
-Stir awake and see that it's 21-0 at half, go back to sleep with smile on face
-Wake up to see a 22-21 loss

Thats what you get for choosing some dumb gaming marathon over watching your team play!

So because the penalty occured before the snap they cannot decline it simply because the play "doesn't exist?"

What's that pokemon's name that the Falcons evolved into?

MaChoke.

Time for Houston to send the Titans back to hell!!
