Isn't that the way running backs are hit/tackled all the time? The difference here is that even though Gio was technically a "runner" he was just standing there. He didn't have any of his own momentum, or didn't have any chance to brace himself.

I also honestly didn't see a dirty hit there, he wasn't defenseless and Shazier lowered his head for the tackle, it's just one of those unfortunate situations, it's football.
