Considering he missed 5 games due a concussion, I'm inclined to believe those rumors.

What the fuck are you talking about? If you're forced to play zoned defense because you lack the personnel to play man coverage, then you aren't built to beat the Patriots - at least defensively. MAYBE this game goes a bit differently defensively for us if we have Heyward, but probably not all that much changes.

I honestly can't think of a worse year for NFL playoff games.

There was never a real threat to the Pats in the AFC once Manning retired and the Broncos refused to pay for a veteran QB
The Falcons were toying with a team that had no offensive line, and another that was basically the walking wounded with a porous defense.

Dallas/GB was the best game by far, but it really did expose just how overrated the Cowboys were.
