:lol you young people and your fancy release dates

When I was a kid I am not sure release dates existed. Shit was promoted and advertised and then one day it would just come out. Might have been out in Cali for a week by the time it got to PA. You would just be rolling through a Hills store and then see that Zelda 2 was on sale.

We were ignorant as fuck but probably happier (and definitely skinnier).

That's....pretty true now that I think about it.

I bugged my mom to hunt down a copy of Mortal Kombat 2 for like...weeks before it might have actually come out.

Back then you would just bolt for the video games section at Walmart or wherever every time you went to the store to see what was out. I remember trying to read the titles in the waaaaaayyyy back of the glass case with the "runover" stuff to see if there was stuff they just didn't bother to put into the plastic turny thingys where you could read the back of the game box.

I miss rental stores.

I miss walking around looking for movies. I miss the cowboy style doors for the porno section. I miss being able to rent a movie for 99 cents. I miss the game rental section. The only thing I don't miss is the movie not being there.
We had place called pop-n-go they were 49 cent rentals. They even had the Faces of Death series but wouldnt rent it out. Instead if you brought them blank tapes they would make copies for you.

I remember when Nintendo would send out VHS tapes announcing and promoting their games. That Donkey Kong Country VHS made me lose my fucking mind. I was absolutely devastated to find out it wasn't even out yet and I would have to wait to play it.

Today already sucks ass. I had three days of client meetings in Boise Idaho this week and had to fly out to NYC for a meeting today. My original flight out of Boise got delayed, which set in motion a chain reaction that caused me to miss my connection, get a new flight from Boise to Seattle and Seattle to NYC. I arrived in NYC at 6:00 am this morning.

I can barely spell my name and I have to lead a 4.5 hour meeting today.
Damn. It might help out to take out your stress on Raiders, Patriots, etc. fans on here like a bunch of us do...

I used to work in a video rental store, 5-11pm second job, first job was 8-4.. I used to play original Xbox games when the store was dead or play DvD movies since the owner was too cheap to buy a DvD player..great thing about this job it, off the books and I lived 1 block away...only time in which i worked 2 jobs and never felt burnt out..

Make olds great again! Y'all remember recording songs off the radio? Trying to time the end of the song before the dj or commercial came in. Or holding a recorder next to your radio to get your favorite song and you would get your moms yelling in the background when you played it back.

I miss being able to blame my dumb choices on being young and rambunctious, and not having a fully developed frontal lobe. Man, fuck the system, yo!

I see the Saints didn't Lane Kiffen the special teams coordinator. I said at the beginning of the season that Sean Payton had too much loyalty to coaches. I was mostly speaking about the D-line, which admittedly our D-line looks good right now, but special teams have also been a long running problem.

PAT should be routine, short field goals should be routine, punts should be routine. Not on the Saints. And then we have boneheaded plays where a surefire kick-off penalty of kicking it out of bounds is inexplicably caught and fumbled on the 1 yard line. A 39 yard swing from idiocy.

What's a "VHS"? Is that like some kind of streaming service?

Football used to be a man's sport. Now all they do is throw flags for hits and celebration spectacles.

I remember going to Electronics Boutique at the mall and dreaming up ways I could be like a spoiled ass mark ass trick ass bitch ass little rich kid and get a Neo Geo back in the day.

Much like seeing a few of the hotter girls in high school naked that dream did not come true...

That tape was ridiculously hype.

It was hard to believe those graphics were coming out of the SNES. I remember playing DKC2 with my little sister and my cousin one summer.

I used to keep track of new games via the game mags I would spend like an hour reading for free at the book store. But the release dates were incredibly vague back then.

Can we pretend it's the 90s again? Complete with rebroadcasts of Sports games on schedule?

Next week is 1990 Week 12!
Say no more. I am in!

Dude come on over and watch the new Fresh Price of Bel Air at my house. We are going to have plenty of soda and Bagel Bites!

I only heard about Luke getting carted off on the radio, but now looking at his face as he sits there just makes me so depressed.

Film: #Texans hid Osweiler. Ran ball a lot and did not employ many complex route combinations.

#Texans Film: Osweiler struggled with accuracy to moving targets at times, including Hopkins.

Just admit the mistake and move on already.

Second tweet kind of explains Braxton Miller getting 2 targets on Sunday

You better be a teenager dude if you are going to be creeping on one.

Weird how they promoted that shit about teenage girls in the 80s and 90s now that I think about it.

There's an early episode of Married with Children guest starring Mila Jovovich as a French exchange student. The plot revolves around how hot she is and how Kelly gets jealous when all the guys start paying attention to her.

Jovovich was 13 at the time.

Yeah it was a mega hit show and 10% of the gags were about how hot and slutty Kelly was when she was playing a teenager.

She was in her 20s during the 90s, (16 in 1987 when it first aired) but yeah...remember Kelly Kapowski? Same thing...the 80s/90s didn't give a fuck.

Let's get more PG13

Little different. SBTB was Saturday morning. That was meant for young teens.

Married with Children was meant for the whole family...
