If Houston had an actual QB, they could've prevented Brady from even making it to SBLI.

So in a way, Brock Osweiler was the one that failed America.

Honestly, going into last season that seemed pretty reasonable. That looked like a much tougher schedule than it wound up being and the Falcons ended the season before 3-8.

Do you have the Vikings as a super bowl contender this year? Because they're basically in the same boat as the 2016 Falcons before the season started.

GnR is playing in Minneapolis tonight. Nobody parties like GnR on Sunday night in the upper Midwest.

I don't agree. Even if the defense turned out to be a complete dumpster fire, the offense was still good enough to win at least 7 games regardless.

I mean, just looking at that schedule it was pretty rough going into the year. Heath had them splitting their divisional games with the bucs and saints, which is pretty fair. Obviously they're a better team than the niners and rams were. Talent wise you could say (before anybody knew how good that rookie class was going to be and before Matt Ryan went from good to god tier) the games against the chargers, eagles, and raiders were toss ups.

I don't think anybody had the Falcons as a better team going into 2016 than the 15-1 panthers, super bowl champion Broncos, 13-3 Cardinals, Perrennial playoff teams like the Seahawks or Packers, or the Chiefs who ended 2015 red hot on like an 11 game winning streak or whatever it was.

And for as good as the Falcons offense was last year, in 2015 they only averaged 21.2 points per game. That's the same as the Texans put up, and it wasn't even T20 in the league. There was really no reason to believe Atlanta was going to be that good last year. It's awesome that they were, but that's just how the NFL goes sometimes with the small game total seasons and shit. They hadn't had a winning season in like 4 or 5 years before 2016 either. It really came out of nowhere and you'd be hard pressed to find any analyst (or non Falcons fan) who believed that was even a playoff team before the start of last season.

Yeah never forget that the Falcons were semi serious about trading Matt Ryan last offseason because he seemingly had all the tools yet didn't produce and they thought they could get good value for him.
