I thought it was ironic that Fox had a commercial hyping up how good their Thursday Night matchups were, only to see that Week 3 was Jets at Browns. That was before Baker Mayfield happened.

Last night was absolutely the most explosive game of the season so far for me. It's the game that made me fall out of love with Eli Manning. Cleveland's O-Line looks a lot like ours, and Eli's looked a lot Tyrod did in that first half. But Mayfield showed what a quarterback can do in less than three seconds with quick reads and powerful throws before the protection breaks down. It reminded me of Eli in his second year in McAdoo's system, when he threw for a career high 35 touchdowns. That was a system built for not having any real protection and I just see Mayfield executing under the same limitations flawlessly. With Landry and Hyde, they're going to be such an awesome team to watch and it feels so weird to say that.

I prefer a short flat pass for 3-4 yards and set yourself up for the run on 2nd down.

The 49ers have an obscene amount of cap space. Pick up Dez Bryant, and then shower the rest on talented defensive players. This 28-7 schlocking the chiefs are putting on them is a sign that the 49ers might be even worse than last year by a significant margin. I know it's to early to say it, but it looks like they're headed for a 4-12 season. A lot of people had them finishing 8-8, 9-7. A few people had them projected to make the playoffs. There's no way that's going to happen unless their defense gets real good real fast.

I would rather them overpay Dez and get a 70-90 reception WR instead of the mediocre Goodwin as their #1 receiver. The drama may be there, but as long as he helps them win games, fuck it. Let him have his tantrums and fine him when he goes overboard. Also their fucking line needs work too. They screwed the pooch with free agent pickups.

Also, now that teams have tape on Garappalo, he's turning out to be at best, a decent to good quarterback that definitely isn't worth the contract he got for the moment. I really hope he does improve.

Yeah I don’t know why people thought they would make the playoffs. They lack talent and Jimmy G was playing against backups and the games were meaningless. And he was turning the ball over, yet everyone was saying that the Patriots traded away Montana.

KC has unreal offensive talent and Mahomes has a great arm, but I’m thinking they will run into a team this year where the receivers aren’t open ten feet on every throw. In the first two games he had almost no throws to tight windows. Probably has zero today.

Jaguars played their Super Bowl last week and are closer to what they actually are this week.

And Buffalo vs Minnesota is the reason why I never bet on the NFL. League makes no sense.
